A vulnerability has been identified in SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.2 and earlier (All versions), SIMATIC PCS 7 V9.X (All versions < V9.1 SP2), SIMATIC PDM (All versions < V9.2 SP2), SIMATIC STEP 7 V5.X (All versions < V5.7), SINAMICS STARTER (containing STEP 7 OEM version) (All versions < V5.4 SP2 HF1). A directory containing metafiles relevant to devices' configurations has write permissions. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability by changing the content of certain metafiles and subsequently manipulate parameters or behavior of devices that would be later configured by the affected software.Show less

The affected software contains a buffer overflow vulnerability while handling certain files that could allow a local attacker to trigger a denial-of-service condition or potentially lead to remote code execution.Show less

An OpenSSL TLS server may crash if sent a maliciously crafted renegotiation ClientHello message from a client. If a TLSv1.2 renegotiation ClientHello omits the signature_algorithms extension (where it was present in the initial ClientHello), but includes a signature_algorithms_cert extension then a NULL pointer dereference will result, leading to a crash and a denial of service attack. A server is only vulnerable if it has TLSv1.2 and renegotiation enabled (which is the default configuration). OpenSSL TLS clients are not impacted by this issue. All OpenSSL 1.1.1 versions are affected by this issue. Users of these versions should upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.1k. OpenSSL 1.0.2 is not impacted by this issue.
