A container privilege escalation flaw was found in certain Red Hat Process Automation Manager images. This issue stems from the /etc/passwd file being created with group-writable permissions during build time. In certain conditions, an attacker who can execute commands within an affected container, even as a non-root user, can leverage their membership in the root group to modify the /etc/passwd file. This could allow the attacker to add a new user with any arbitrary UID, including UID 0, leading to full root privileges within the container.Show less

A flaw was found in Quarkus where HTTP security policies are not sanitizing certain character permutations correctly when accepting requests, resulting in incorrect evaluation of permissions. This issue could allow an attacker to bypass the security policy altogether, resulting in unauthorized endpoint access and possibly a denial of service.Show less

XML external entity injection(XXE) is a vulnerability that allows an attacker to interfere with an application's processing of XML data. This attack occurs when XML input containing a reference to an external entity is processed by a weakly configured XML parser. The software processes an XML document that can contain XML entities with URIs that resolve to documents outside of the intended sphere of control, causing the product to embed incorrect documents into its output. A vulnerability was found in business-central, as shipped in rhdm-7.5.1 and rhpam-7.5.1, where encoded passwords are stored in errai_security_context. The encoding used for storing the passwords is Base64, not an encryption algorithm, and any recovery of these passwords could lead to user passwords being exposed.Show less
