In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Increase array size of dummy_boolean [WHY] dml2_core_shared_mode_support and dml_core_mode_support access the third element of dummy_boolean, i.e. hw_debug5 = &s->dummy_boolean[2], when dummy_boolean has size of 2. Any assignment to hw_debug5 causes an OVERRUN. [HOW] Increase dummy_boolean's array size to 3. This fixes 2 OVERRUN issues reported by Coverity.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Implement bounds check for stream encoder creation in DCN401 'stream_enc_regs' array is an array of dcn10_stream_enc_registers structures. The array is initialized with four elements, corresponding to the four calls to stream_enc_regs() in the array initializer. This means that valid indices for this array are 0, 1, 2, and 3. The error message 'stream_enc_regs' 4 <= 5 below, is indicating that there is an attempt to access this array with an index of 5, which is out of bounds. This could lead to undefined behavior Here, eng_id is used as an index to access the stream_enc_regs array. If eng_id is 5, this would result in an out-of-bounds access on the stream_enc_regs array. Thus fixing Buffer overflow error in dcn401_stream_encoder_create Found by smatch: drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/resource/dcn401/dcn401_resource.c:1209 dcn401_stream_encoder_create() error: buffer overflow 'stream_enc_regs' 4 <= 5Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix index out of bounds in DCN30 color transformation This commit addresses a potential index out of bounds issue in the `cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format` function in the DCN30 color management module. The issue could occur when the index 'i' exceeds the number of transfer function points (TRANSFER_FUNC_POINTS). The fix adds a check to ensure 'i' is within bounds before accessing the transfer function points. If 'i' is out of bounds, the function returns false to indicate an error. drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn30/dcn30_cm_common.c:180 cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.red' 1025 <= s32max drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn30/dcn30_cm_common.c:181 cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.green' 1025 <= s32max drivers/gpu/drm/amd/amdgpu/../display/dc/dcn30/dcn30_cm_common.c:182 cm3_helper_translate_curve_to_hw_format() error: buffer overflow 'output_tf->tf_pts.blue' 1025 <= s32maxShow less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/hugetlb: fix memfd_pin_folios free_huge_pages leak memfd_pin_folios followed by unpin_folios fails to restore free_huge_pages if the pages were not already faulted in, because the folio refcount for pages created by memfd_alloc_folio never goes to 0. memfd_pin_folios needs another folio_put to undo the folio_try_get below: memfd_alloc_folio() alloc_hugetlb_folio_nodemask() dequeue_hugetlb_folio_nodemask() dequeue_hugetlb_folio_node_exact() folio_ref_unfreeze(folio, 1); ; adds 1 refcount folio_try_get() ; adds 1 refcount hugetlb_add_to_page_cache() ; adds 512 refcount (on x86) With the fix, after memfd_pin_folios + unpin_folios, the refcount for the (unfaulted) page is 512, which is correct, as the refcount for a faulted unpinned page is 513.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: bcm2835: Fix timeout during suspend mode During noirq suspend phase the Raspberry Pi power driver suffer of firmware property timeouts. The reason is that the IRQ of the underlying BCM2835 mailbox is disabled and rpi_firmware_property_list() will always run into a timeout [1]. Since the VideoCore side isn't consider as a wakeup source, set the IRQF_NO_SUSPEND flag for the mailbox IRQ in order to keep it enabled during suspend-resume cycle. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix timer use-after-free on failed mount Syzbot has found an ODEBUG bug in ext4_fill_super The del_timer_sync function cancels the s_err_report timer, which reminds about filesystem errors daily. We should guarantee the timer is no longer active before kfree(sbi). When filesystem mounting fails, the flow goes to failed_mount3, where an error occurs when ext4_stop_mmpd is called, causing a read I/O failure. This triggers the ext4_handle_error function that ultimately re-arms the timer, leaving the s_err_report timer active before kfree(sbi) is called. Fix the issue by canceling the s_err_report timer after calling ext4_stop_mmpd.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: reserve space for inline xattr before attaching reflink tree One of our customers reported a crash and a corrupted ocfs2 filesystem. The crash was due to the detection of corruption. Upon troubleshooting, the fsck -fn output showed the below corruption [EXTENT_LIST_FREE] Extent list in owner 33080590 claims 230 as the next free chain record, but fsck believes the largest valid value is 227. The issue was in the reflink workfow while reserving space for inline xattr. The problematic function is ocfs2_reflink_xattr_inline(). By the time this function is called the reflink tree is already recreated at the destination inode from the source inode. At this point, this function reserves space for inline xattrs at the destination inode without even checking if there is space at the root metadata block. It simply reduces the l_count from 243 to 227 thereby making space of 256 bytes for inline xattr whereas the inode already has extents beyond this index (in this case up to 230), thereby causing corruption. The fix for this is to reserve space for inline metadata at the destination inode before the reflink tree gets recreated. The customer has verified the fix.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5e: Fix crash caused by calling __xfrm_state_delete() twice The km.state is not checked in driver's delayed work. When xfrm_state_check_expire() is called, the state can be reset to XFRM_STATE_EXPIRED, even if it is XFRM_STATE_DEAD already. This happens when xfrm state is deleted, but not freed yet. As __xfrm_state_delete() is called again in xfrm timer, the following crash occurs. To fix this issue, skip xfrm_state_check_expire() if km.state is not XFRM_STATE_VALID. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: prevent nf_skb_duplicated corruption syzbot found that nf_dup_ipv4() or nf_dup_ipv6() could write per-cpu variable nf_skb_duplicated in an unsafe way [1]. Disabling preemption as hinted by the splat is not enough, we have to disable soft interrupts as well. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: Fix possible crash on mgmt_index_removed If mgmt_index_removed is called while there are commands queued on cmd_sync it could lead to crashes like the bellow trace: 0x0000053D: __list_del_entry_valid_or_report+0x98/0xdc 0x0000053D: mgmt_pending_remove+0x18/0x58 [bluetooth] 0x0000053E: mgmt_remove_adv_monitor_complete+0x80/0x108 [bluetooth] 0x0000053E: hci_cmd_sync_work+0xbc/0x164 [bluetooth] So while handling mgmt_index_removed this attempts to dequeue commands passed as user_data to cmd_sync.Show less
