mptcp: pm: avoid possible UaF when selecting endp
select_local_address() and select_signal_address() both select an
endpoint entry from the list inside an RCU protected section, but return
a reference to it, to be read later on. If the entry is dereferenced
after the RCU unlock, reading info could cause a Use-after-Free.
A simple solution is to copy the required info while inside the RCU
protected section to avoid any risk of UaF later. The address ID might
need to be modified later to handle the ID0 case later, so a copy seems
OK to deal with.Show less |

bna: adjust 'name' buf size of bna_tcb and bna_ccb structures
To have enough space to write all possible sprintf() args. Currently
'name' size is 16, but the first '%s' specifier may already need at
least 16 characters, since 'bnad->netdev->name' is used there.
For '%d' specifiers, assume that they require:
* 1 char for 'tx_id + tx_info->tcb[i]->id' sum, BNAD_MAX_TXQ_PER_TX is 8
* 2 chars for 'rx_id + rx_info->rx_ctrl[i].ccb->id', BNAD_MAX_RXP_PER_RX
is 16
And replace sprintf with snprintf.

PCI/DPC: Fix use-after-free on concurrent DPC and hot-removal
Keith reports a use-after-free when a DPC event occurs concurrently to
hot-removal of the same portion of the hierarchy:
The dpc_handler() awaits readiness of the secondary bus below the
Downstream Port where the DPC event occurred. To do so, it polls the
config space of the first child device on the secondary bus. If that
child device is concurrently removed, accesses to its struct pci_dev
cause the kernel to oops.
That's because pci_bridge_wait_for_secondary_bus() neglects to hold a
reference on the child device. Before v6.3, the function was only
called on resume from system sleep or on runtime resume. Holding a
reference wasn't necessary back then because the pciehp IRQ thread
could never run concurrently. (On resume from system sleep, IRQs are
not enabled until after the resume_noirq phase. And runtime resume is
always awaited before a PCI device is removed.)
However starting with v6.3, pci_bridge_wait_for_secondary_bus() is also
called on a DPC event. Commit 53b54ad074de ("PCI/DPC: Await readiness
of secondary bus after reset"), which introduced that, failed to
appreciate that pci_bridge_wait_for_secondary_bus() now needs to hold a
reference on the child device because dpc_handler() and pciehp may
indeed run concurrently. The commit was backported to v5.10+ stable
kernels, so that's the oldest one affected.
Add the missing reference acquisition.

Prior to versions 1.14.0 and 1.15.10, a malicious or compromised Flatpak app using persistent directories could access and write files outside of what it would otherwise have access to, which is an attack on integrity and confidentiality.
When `persistent=subdir` is used in the application permissions (represented as `--persist=subdir` in the command-line interface), that means that an application which otherwise doesn't have access to the real user home directory will see an empty home directory with a writeable subdirectory `subdir`. Behind the scenes, this directory is actually a bind mount and the data is stored in the per-application directory as `~/.var/app/$APPID/subdir`. This allows existing apps that are not aware of the per-application directory to still work as intended without general home directory access.
However, the application does have write access to the application directory `~/.var/app/$APPID` where this directory is stored. If the source directory for the `persistent`/`--persist` option is replaced by a symlink, then the next time the application is started, the bind mount will follow the symlink and mount whatever it points to into the sandbox.
Partial protection against this vulnerability can be provided by patching Flatpak using the patches in commits ceec2ffc and 98f79773. However, this leaves a race condition that could be exploited by two instances of a malicious app running in parallel. Closing the race condition requires updating or patching the version of bubblewrap that is used by Flatpak to add the new `--bind-fd` option using the patch and then patching Flatpak to use it. If Flatpak has been configured at build-time with `-Dsystem_bubblewrap=bwrap` (1.15.x) or `--with-system-bubblewrap=bwrap` (1.14.x or older), or a similar option, then the version of bubblewrap that needs to be patched is a system copy that is distributed separately, typically `/usr/bin/bwrap`. This configuration is the one that is typically used in Linux distributions. If Flatpak has been configured at build-time with `-Dsystem_bubblewrap=` (1.15.x) or with `--without-system-bubblewrap` (1.14.x or older), then it is the bundled version of bubblewrap that is included with Flatpak that must be patched. This is typically installed as `/usr/libexec/flatpak-bwrap`. This configuration is the default when building from source code.
For the 1.14.x stable branch, these changes are included in Flatpak 1.14.10. The bundled version of bubblewrap included in this release has been updated to 0.6.3. For the 1.15.x development branch, these changes are included in Flatpak 1.15.10. The bundled version of bubblewrap in this release is a Meson "wrap" subproject, which has been updated to 0.10.0. The 1.12.x and 1.10.x branches will not be updated for this vulnerability. Long-term support OS distributions should backport the individual changes into their versions of Flatpak and bubblewrap, or update to newer versions if their stability policy allows it. As a workaround, avoid using applications using the `persistent` (`--persist`) permission.Show less |

btrfs: zoned: fix use-after-free due to race with dev replace
While loading a zone's info during creation of a block group, we can race
with a device replace operation and then trigger a use-after-free on the
device that was just replaced (source device of the replace operation).
This happens because at btrfs_load_zone_info() we extract a device from
the chunk map into a local variable and then use the device while not
under the protection of the device replace rwsem. So if there's a device
replace operation happening when we extract the device and that device
is the source of the replace operation, we will trigger a use-after-free
if before we finish using the device the replace operation finishes and
frees the device.
Fix this by enlarging the critical section under the protection of the
device replace rwsem so that all uses of the device are done inside the
critical section.Show less |

When using urllib3's proxy support with `ProxyManager`, the `Proxy-Authorization` header is only sent to the configured proxy, as expected. However, when sending HTTP requests *without* using urllib3's proxy support, it's possible to accidentally configure the `Proxy-Authorization` header even though it won't have any effect as the request is not using a forwarding proxy or a tunneling proxy. In those cases, urllib3 doesn't treat the `Proxy-Authorization` HTTP header as one carrying authentication material and thus doesn't strip the header on cross-origin redirects. Because this is a highly unlikely scenario, we believe the severity of this vulnerability is low for almost all users. Out of an abundance of caution urllib3 will automatically strip the `Proxy-Authorization` header during cross-origin redirects to avoid the small chance that users are doing this on accident. Users should use urllib3's proxy support or disable automatic redirects to achieve safe processing of the `Proxy-Authorization` header, but we still decided to strip the header by default in order to further protect users who aren't using the correct approach. We believe the number of usages affected by this advisory is low. It requires all of the following to be true to be exploited: 1. Setting the `Proxy-Authorization` header without using urllib3's built-in proxy support. 2. Not disabling HTTP redirects. 3. Either not using an HTTPS origin server or for the proxy or target origin to redirect to a malicious origin. Users are advised to update to either version 1.26.19 or version 2.2.2. In versions 2.4.8 and earlier, when starting the cupsd server with a Listen configuration item pointing to a symbolic link, the cupsd process can be caused to perform an arbitrary chmod of the provided argument, providing world-writable access to the target. Given that cupsd is often running as root, this can result in the change of permission of any user or system files to be world writable. Given the aforementioned Ubuntu AppArmor context, on such systems this vulnerability is limited to those files modifiable by the cupsd process. In that specific case it was found to be possible to turn the configuration of the Listen argument into full control over the cupsd.conf and cups-files.conf configuration files. By later setting the User and Group arguments in cups-files.conf, and printing with a printer configured by PPD with a `FoomaticRIPCommandLine` argument, arbitrary user and group (not root) command execution could be achieved, which can further be used on Ubuntu systems to achieve full root command execution. Commit ff1f8a623e090dee8a8aadf12a6a4b25efac143d contains a patch for the issue.Show less |
