It is also possible to pass partial wildcards such as `foo.a*c.bar` which glib matches but should be avoided / invalidated. This issue could have an impact on TLS connections, such as in man-in-the-middle situations. Version 4.8.2 contains a fix for the issue.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: Fix WRITE_SAME No Data Buffer crash In newer version of the SBC specs, we have a NDOB bit that indicates there is no data buffer that gets written out. If this bit is set using commands like "sg_write_same --ndob" we will crash in target_core_iblock/file's execute_write_same handlers when we go to access the se_cmd->t_data_sg because its NULL. This patch adds a check for the NDOB bit in the common WRITE SAME code because we don't support it. And, it adds a check for zero SG elements in each handler in case the initiator tries to send a normal WRITE SAME with no data buffer.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: hfsc: Fix a UAF vulnerability in class handling This patch fixes a Use-After-Free vulnerability in the HFSC qdisc class handling. The issue occurs due to a time-of-check/time-of-use condition in hfsc_change_class() when working with certain child qdiscs like netem or codel. The vulnerability works as follows: 1. hfsc_change_class() checks if a class has packets (q.qlen != 0) 2. It then calls qdisc_peek_len(), which for certain qdiscs (e.g., codel, netem) might drop packets and empty the queue 3. The code continues assuming the queue is still non-empty, adding the class to vttree 4. This breaks HFSC scheduler assumptions that only non-empty classes are in vttree 5. Later, when the class is destroyed, this can lead to a Use-After-Free The fix adds a second queue length check after qdisc_peek_len() to verify the queue wasn't emptied.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxgb4: fix memory leak in cxgb4_init_ethtool_filters() error path In the for loop used to allocate the loc_array and bmap for each port, a memory leak is possible when the allocation for loc_array succeeds, but the allocation for bmap fails. This is because when the control flow goes to the label free_eth_finfo, only the allocations starting from (i-1)th iteration are freed. Fix that by freeing the loc_array in the bmap allocation error path.Show less

In handle_to_path(), only 12 bytes of memory are allocated for the structure file_handle->f_handle member, which causes an out-of-bounds access when accessing the member parent_block of the structure isofs_fid in isofs, because accessing parent_block requires at least 16 bytes of f_handle. If that happens then smb2_sess_setup, which calls krb_authenticate, will be accessing free'd memory when it later uses sess->user.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/cma: Fix workqueue crash in cma_netevent_work_handler struct rdma_cm_id has member "struct work_struct net_work" that is reused for enqueuing cma_netevent_work_handler()s onto cma_wq. Below crash[1] can occur if more than one call to cma_netevent_callback() occurs in quick succession, which further enqueues cma_netevent_work_handler()s for the same rdma_cm_id, overwriting any previously queued work-item(s) that was just scheduled to run i.e. there is no guarantee the queued work item may run between two successive calls to cma_netevent_callback() and the 2nd INIT_WORK would overwrite the 1st work item (for the same rdma_cm_id), despite grabbing id_table_lock during enqueue. Fix this by moving the INIT_WORK() to __rdma_create_id(), so that it doesn't race with any existing queue_work() or its worker thread.
