Yamcs is a mission control framework. Prior to 5.12.8 and 5.13.2, Yamcs LikeExpression.fillCode_getValueReturn in yamcs-core/src/main/java/org/yamcs/yarch/streamsql/LikeExpression.java inserts an unescaped LIKE pattern into Java source compiled by Expression.getCompiledExpression through SimpleCompiler.cook instead of applying ValueExpression.escapeJavaString. The pattern can originate from POST /api/archive/{instance}:executeSql, POST /api/archive/{instance}:streamSql, POST /api/archive/{instance}/tables/{table}:readRows, GET /api/archive/{instance}/events, or activity searches, including paths available with ReadTables, ReadEvents, or ReadActivities. A quote in the pattern can inject Java that runs as the Yamcs server process. This issue is fixed in versions 5.12.8 and 5.13.2.Show less

Yamcs is a mission control framework. Prior to 5.12.8 and 5.13.2, Yamcs allows a user with SystemPrivilege.ControlArchiving to create a double-quoted StreamSQL column name that is interpolated into generated Java source by Expression.fillCode_InputDefVars and Expression.sanitizeName. A sum aggregate reaches yamcs-core/src/main/java/org/yamcs/yarch/streamsql/CompilableAggregateExpression.java and yamcs-core/src/main/java/org/yamcs/yarch/streamsql/funct/SumExpression.java through SelectExpression.compile, where Janino SimpleCompiler.cook compiles the injected source. POST /api/archive/{instance}:executeSql can therefore execute arbitrary Java in the Yamcs server process, exposing mission data and credentials and permitting telemetry tampering or denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 5.12.8 and 5.13.2.Show less

This security issue could allow an unauthenticated user to execute arbitrary code within the ServiceNow AI Platform, potentially leading to more access to the ServiceNow AI Platform than intended.  ServiceNow deployed a security update to hosted instances and ServiceNow provided the update to our partners and self-hosted customers. We are not currently aware of malicious exploitation against ServiceNow instances.  We recommend customers promptly apply appropriate updates or upgrade to a patched release if they have not already done so.Show less

From 6.0.0 until 6.4.9, 7.0.7, and 7.1.1, the userform email recipient subject field in the CMS accepts a specially crafted payload that can be interpreted as executable server-side code. An authenticated CMS user with permission to configure a UserForms email recipient can use the subject field to run arbitrary code on the server, compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter sanitizes HTML only for text notes and excludes the book note type, whose content is stored without sanitization and later rendered as HTML, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to embed a payload that executes as script. A book note's content is routed through the same rendering path as text notes and injected into the page with jQuery's html method when the note is shown as a grid-view preview card, so a malicious note survives Safe import and runs as soon as the victim opens the containing note. On the desktop client the Electron renderer runs with Node integration enabled, so the injected JavaScript escalates from cross-site scripting to full remote code execution on the victim's machine. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.Show less

In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter sanitizes HTML only for text notes and excludes the mindMap note type, whose JSON content is stored without sanitization, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to embed a payload that renders as arbitrary HTML. A mind map node can carry a dangerouslySetInnerHTML property that the Mind Elixir library assigns directly to a node's innerHTML, so a malicious note survives Safe import and executes script as soon as the victim opens the imported mind map. On the desktop client the Electron renderer runs with Node integration enabled, so the injected JavaScript escalates from cross-site scripting to full remote code execution on the victim's machine. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.Show less

Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter does not sanitize note titles, and the GeoMap note view interpolates a marker note's title into raw HTML that is rendered as innerHTML, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to inject script that runs when the map is displayed. Because Safe import neutralizes scripts but never escapes titles, a note whose title contains an HTML event-handler payload survives the import and executes as soon as the victim opens the GeoMap that renders its marker. On the desktop client the Electron renderer runs with Node integration enabled, so the injected JavaScript escalates from cross-site scripting to full remote code execution on the victim's machine. Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions prior to 0.104.0, the default-on "Safe import" filter fails to neutralize the shareTemplate relation because that relation is not marked as dangerous, allowing an attacker-supplied import archive to plant a server-side template that leads to remote code execution. The relation is omitted from the built-in list of dangerous attributes, so unlike other code-loading relations it is not disabled on import, and when the victim later publishes the imported note the public share renderer feeds the linked EJS code note's raw bytes into ejs.render, which compiles them in the server's Node process. An unauthenticated request to the shared note then executes the attacker's JavaScript with full access to require, process, the filesystem, and the network. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.Show less

This vulnerability could enable an unauthenticated user, in certain circumstances, to execute arbitrary code in the ServiceNow platform and gain access to, or modify, instance data beyond what was intended.  ServiceNow deployed a security update to hosted instances and ServiceNow provided the update to our partners and self-hosted customers. We are not currently aware of malicious exploitation against ServiceNow instances.  We recommend customers promptly apply appropriate updates or upgrade to a patched release if they have not already done so.Show less

openssl_encrypt before 1.4.9 executes untrusted third-party plugins with insufficient controls: the plugin signature policy defaulted to WARN, so an unsigned/unverifiable non-built-in plugin was compiled and executed in the host process at import time, before the runtime sandbox is installed. The only default gate was an incomplete, bypassable AST denylist. If a user is induced to load an attacker's plugin, this results in arbitrary code execution with the privileges of the user running openssl_encrypt. Fixed in 1.4.9 by defaulting the signature policy to ENFORCE for non-built-in plugins.Show less

ToolUniverse ran caller-supplied Python inside a sandbox that could be escaped, on a server that required no authentication. The executor behind the python_code_executor tool, in python_executor_tool.py, inspected the submitted source for a denied list of attribute names and calls but left the attribute-lookup builtins available and did not stop a dunder attribute reached through a string lookup or through a module already permitted, so a caller could walk from a literal's class to its base and enumerate subclasses to obtain a reference to the process and subprocess modules. A per-call argument also let the caller widen the import allow-list before the inspection ran. The HTTP and MCP servers in http_api_server.py and smcp_server.py bound to every interface with debugging enabled and no authentication, so any caller able to reach the port executed code as the server process. Version 1.3.0 adds bearer-token authentication, defaults the bind address to loopback, and hardens the attribute checks.Show less

Affected versions of Flowintel allow the LOG_FILE configuration value to be modified through system settings without restricting it to a filename inside the intended log directory. Because the application constructs the log destination from this configurable value, an administrator could set LOG_FILE to an arbitrary filesystem path. Since attackers can influence logged content, this enables controlled data to be written into unintended files. The upstream commit specifically describes an exploitation chain in which an attacker injects a template into a chosen file and subsequently abuses application rendering behavior to execute code. The patch removes LOG_FILE from the web-editable settings, introduces validate_log_file_name() to reject absolute paths, traversal, Windows paths, null bytes, and directory components, and centralizes log path construction through resolve_log_file_path(). Affected versions of Flowintel improperly trust configuration keys supplied to the alerts settings update endpoint. While configuration values were normalized to Python literals, the corresponding keys were used directly when constructing and replacing lines in conf/config_module.py. The vulnerable code used requester-controlled keys in both the regular expression and the generated assignment: f'{key} = {py_val}' and appended an assignment if the key was not already present. The modified Python configuration module was subsequently reloaded using importlib.reload(). This creates a code-generation boundary in which specially crafted configuration keys can alter the Python source structure and result in execution of attacker-controlled Python statements.
