In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ath9k_htc: fix uninit value bugs Syzbot reported 2 KMSAN bugs in ath9k. All of them are caused by missing field initialization. In htc_connect_service() svc_meta_len and pad are not initialized. Based on code it looks like in current skb there is no service data, so simply initialize svc_meta_len to 0. htc_issue_send() does not initialize htc_frame_hdr::control array. Based on firmware code, it will initialize it by itself, so simply zero whole array to make KMSAN happy Fail logs: BUG: KMSAN: kernel-usb-infoleak in usb_submit_urb+0x6c1/0x2aa0 drivers/usb/core/urb.c:430 usb_submit_urb+0x6c1/0x2aa0 drivers/usb/core/urb.c:430 hif_usb_send_regout drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath9k/hif_usb.c:127 [inline] hif_usb_send+0x5f0/0x16f0 drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath9k/hif_usb.c:479 htc_issue_send drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath9k/htc_hst.c:34 [inline] htc_connect_service+0x143e/0x1960 drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath9k/htc_hst.c:275 ... In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btmtksdio: Fix kernel oops in btmtksdio_interrupt Fix the following kernel oops in btmtksdio_interrrupt [ 14.339134] btmtksdio_interrupt+0x28/0x54 [ 14.339139] process_sdio_pending_irqs+0x68/0x1a0 [ 14.339144] sdio_irq_work+0x40/0x70 [ 14.339154] process_one_work+0x184/0x39c [ 14.339160] worker_thread+0x228/0x3e8 [ 14.339168] kthread+0x148/0x3ac [ 14.339176] ret_from_fork+0x10/0x30 That happened because hdev->power_on is already called before sdio_set_drvdata which btmtksdio_interrupt handler relies on is not properly set up. The details are shown as the below: hci_register_dev would run queue_work(hdev->req_workqueue, &hdev->power_on) as WQ_HIGHPRI workqueue_struct to complete the power-on sequeunce and thus hci_power_on may run before sdio_set_drvdata is done in btmtksdio_probe. The hci_dev_do_open in hci_power_on would initialize the device and enable the interrupt and thus it is possible that btmtksdio_interrupt is being called right before sdio_set_drvdata is filled out. When btmtksdio_interrupt is being called and sdio_set_drvdata is not filled , the kernel oops is going to happen because btmtksdio_interrupt access an uninitialized pointer.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: dummy: iio_simply_dummy_buffer: fix information leak in triggered buffer The 'data' array is allocated via kmalloc() and it is used to push data to user space from a triggered buffer, but it does not set values for inactive channels, as it only uses iio_for_each_active_channel() to assign new values. Use kzalloc for the memory allocation to avoid pushing uninitialized information to userspace.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: light: vcnl4035: fix information leak in triggered buffer The 'buffer' local array is used to push data to userspace from a triggered buffer, but it does not set an initial value for the single data element, which is an u16 aligned to 8 bytes. That leaves at least 4 bytes uninitialized even after writing an integer value with regmap_read(). Initialize the array to zero before using it to avoid pushing uninitialized information to userspace.Show less

This hides an actual issue, which is that nr_route_frame does not validate the buffer size before using it. Fix this issue by checking skb->len before accessing any fields in skb->data.
