Wasmtime before 36.0.17, 37.0.0 before 48.0.4, and 49.0.0 before 49.0.2 contains an information disclosure vulnerability in the WASIp1 fd_readdir implementation that copies uninitialized struct padding into guest memory. Guests with a preopened directory can list entries to receive three bytes of leftover host stack or heap memory per directory entry.Show less

A memory-handling weakness in the BSON deserialization component of the MongoDB C# Driver may cause data left over from previously processed content to be returned when specially crafted serialized input is parsed. An unauthenticated party able to supply serialized data to an application that maps certain primitive collection types can cause residual bytes from unrelated data processed earlier on the same execution thread to be surfaced as legitimate values. This can result in disclosure of a limited amount of information belonging to other requests or principals of the consuming application. No authentication or special privileges within the application are required.Show less

Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 11.2.1 until 13.0.0, Arrow export assumes that an image's rows are tightly contiguous and exports from im->blocks[0].ptr even when PILLOW_ALIGNMENT makes aligned_linesize include row padding or an aligned offset before the first row. The resulting Arrow buffer can include uninitialized padding, bytes preceding the first row, or stale heap contents from previously freed images. Applications that configure alignment and export images to Arrow can therefore disclose one user's pixels or other process memory to another user. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.Show less

Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 5.3.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow can return uninitialized memory as pixels when libtiff performs a short decode of JPEG-compressed or Group 4 fax TIFF data. The _decodeStrip and _decodeTile buffers can be larger than the bytes written by libtiff, but Pillow converts the expected rows without clearing the unwritten tail. The tile path is affected from 5.3.0 and the strip path from 6.0.0. An attacker can supply a crafted TIFF to an application that loads and returns or re-encodes its pixels. This can disclose stale heap contents without memory corruption or a process crash. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.Show less

3proxy from 0.9.7 through 1.0.1, fixed in commit 206c923, contains an uninitialized stack memory disclosure vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to leak stack bytes via the SOCKS4 reply path when the external-NAT option (-Ne) is configured. Attackers can send a client probe that fails the SOCKS version check to trigger a reply containing uninitialized bytes from the sin structure, exposing high bytes of a userspace pointer that weakens ASLR protections.Show less

Description When NGINX Plus or NGINX Open Source is configured with ssl_session_cache shared:name:size without an explicit ssl_session_ticket_key file directives to automatically rotate SSL session ticket keys, a remote unauthenticated attacker is able to forge client SSL sessions in a non-deterministic manner that is beyond the attacker's control. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass verification of client certificates. Impact This vulnerability can lead to the exposure of resources or functionality to unintended actors, possibly providing attackers with access to sensitive information. There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.Show less

7-Zip before 26.03 contains an uninitialized memory disclosure vulnerability in the SquashFS v4 archive handler (SquashfsHandler.cpp) that allows attackers to leak heap memory by crafting a malicious archive where the superblock’s no_ids field is set so that the final metadata block’s expected size is miscomputed and bypasses the size validation check. By listing or extracting the crafted archive, attackers can cause the application to return uninitialized heap memory as the kpidUserId and kpidGroupId properties, exposing potentially sensitive process memory contents to the user.Show less
