Piccolo Admin is an admin interface and content management system for Python, built on top of Piccolo. Prior to 1.14.0, piccolo_admin/endpoints.py uses superuser_validators to block PUT, PATCH, DELETE, and POST requests by non-superusers but permits GET requests to configured user and session tables, while piccolo_api/session_auth/tables.py exposes SessionsBase.token because the token column is not secret. In deployments that add the Sessions and User tables to create_admin, a non-superuser administrator can call GET /api/tables/sessions/, obtain another user's live session token, replay it as the Cookie id value to impersonate a superuser, and permanently set superuser to true on the attacker's own row. This issue is fixed in version 1.14.0.Show less

The source-address critical option in the Permissions returned by an authentication callback was only enforced for the PublicKeyCallback and VerifiedPublicKeyCallback paths, extending the fix for CVE-2026-46595. Permissions returned by the PasswordCallback, KeyboardInteractiveCallback, NoClientAuthCallback, and GSSAPIWithMICConfig.AllowLogin callbacks were not validated against the client's remote address, so a source-address restriction set by those callbacks was silently ignored. The check is now applied to the Permissions returned by any authentication callback.Show less

In Eclipse Lyo versions 2.0.0 to 7.0.0, OAuth server authorization checks can be bypassed when the 2-legged auth is supported by the server. In those cases, application that based their authz filters upon Lyo-provided `AbstractAdapterCredentialsFilter`, are vulnerable. An attacked can create a provisional trusted client (valid use-case) but then it can be used as a trusted client immediately without requiring the administrator approval to clear the provisional status. The 3-legged path requiring user interaction is not vulnerable and rejects provisional clients.Show less

Wazuh is an open-source security platform providing unified XDR and SIEM protection for endpoints and cloud workloads. In versions 4.14.0 through 4.14.6, an authenticated low-privilege user can read the cluster secret from the manager configuration because the logic that masks sensitive values is disabled by any update-config RBAC rule, including an explicit deny. The mask_sensitive_config() decorator applies masking only when _has_update_permissions() returns false, but that gate treats a user as able to update the config whenever a  manager:update_config  or  cluster:update_config  rule exists, without ever checking whether the rule's effect is allow or deny. Because a deny rule is stored as a real entry, a read-only account that is hardened by explicitly denying config edits is counted as having update permission, which turns masking off. A single authenticated GET request to the configuration endpoint with  raw=true  then returns the verbatim ossec.conf XML with  cluster.key  in clear, whereas an otherwise identical account without the deny rule sees the value masked. This issue is fixed in version 4.14.7.Show less

Dolibarr before 23.0.4 authorizes REST API document deletion against the wrong permission. Documents::delete() in htdocs/api/class/api_documents.class.php calls dol_check_secure_access_document() with the mode argument 'read' when handling DELETE /api/index.php/documents, while the sibling builddoc() path passes 'write', the correct mode for an operation that modifies stored data. An authenticated API user who holds only a read permission for a document-bearing module, for example societe:lire or facture:lire, and no create, write, delete or admin permission, therefore passes the check and can permanently delete that module's documents: third-party files, invoices, orders, proposals, project files and generated PDFs, with no recovery path. The call site is htdocs/api/class/api_documents.class.php:1276 in 23.0.3 and passes 'write' from 23.0.4 onward.Show less

Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions up to and including 0.103.0, the public share-search endpoint does not enforce the per-note shareCredentials and shareHiddenFromTree controls, allowing an unauthenticated visitor to read the titles, tree paths, and content of protected shared notes. The endpoint authorizes only the ancestor note supplied in the request and then runs a full-text search across the entire published subtree, returning each matching note's title, share identifier, and hierarchical path without re-checking whether that individual note requires a share password or is hidden from the navigation tree. Because the search matches note content, an attacker can enumerate protected notes and use the endpoint as a boolean oracle that confirms arbitrary substrings, recovering the full contents of notes that should be gated behind a password. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0.Show less

The updateWorkspace handler in mods/identity/src/workspaces/createUpdateWorkspace.ts in Fonoster through 0.22.7 invokes the gRPC callback with PERMISSION_DENIED when createIsWorkspaceMember reports that the caller is not a member of the target workspace, but it does not return. Execution continues into prisma.workspace.update, which is scoped by the workspace reference alone, so the rename commits before the second callback is issued and the caller receives a permission error for a write that already succeeded. The gRPC interceptor in mods/common/src/identity/createAuthInterceptor.ts binds the workspace accessKeyId to the caller's token only for paths in workspaceResourceAccess or workspaceResourceOwnerOrAdminAccess, and Identity/UpdateWorkspace is listed in fullIdentityAccess, which the base USER role holds. Any authenticated user can therefore rename an arbitrary workspace in the deployment.Show less

SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs. In versions prior to 4.40, an authenticated S3 principal with permissions scoped to a nested object key can overwrite a different object outside that scope by calling PutObjectAcl on the key it is allowed to access. The handler authorizes the request against the requested nested key but then writes the updated entry back to the bucket root rather than the key's actual parent directory, so an ACL change on allowed/protected.txt is instead applied to protected.txt at the bucket root. Because the update carries the full entry rather than only ACL metadata, an existing target object is overwritten with the content, metadata, owner information, and ACL of the scoped object, bypassing the object-level action scoping configured through the static S3 identity file. This issue is fixed in version 4.40.Show less

SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs. In versions from 3.88 through 4.39, the SFTP server evaluates configured path permissions with a literal string-prefix comparison, so a user scoped to a path is also granted the same access to any sibling path whose name merely begins with the same characters. A user granted access to /tenants/alice therefore also matches /tenants/alice-archive, /tenants/alice2, and similar siblings, because the check does not require a path-component boundary. An authenticated low-privilege SFTP user with a root home directory and narrow path permissions can thereby cross the configured ACL boundary to read another tenant's files, and to overwrite them if granted write, all through the documented SFTP service with its own valid credentials. This issue is fixed in version 4.40.Show less

SeaweedFS is a distributed storage system for files and blobs. In versions 4.39 and earlier, the S3 API accepts an external OIDC JWT sent directly in the Authorization header and maps it to an IAM role without enforcing that role's trust policy, so a federated user can assume a role they are not permitted to hold. The standard STS AssumeRoleWithWebIdentity path rejects such a token when the role's trust policy does not trust the token's federated provider, but the direct S3 bearer path validates only the token itself and then authenticates as the mapped role and evaluates that role's attached S3 permissions. As a result, a valid OIDC user whose token would be denied the role through STS can obtain the role's S3 access, including object read, write, and delete, by presenting the raw OIDC JWT directly to the S3 API. Simple Machines Forum (SMF) through 2.1.7, fixed in commit 6f0dc61, contains an authorization state-confusion vulnerability in the profile loader that allows authenticated low-privileged users to gain administrator access by supplying multiple values for the user parameter. Attackers can exploit the mismatch between Profile::$member and User::$me->is_owner during sequential profile loading to be treated as the owner of an administrator profile, enabling unauthorized password changes and full account takeover.Show less

Weblate is a web-based continuous localization platform used to manage software translations. In versions prior to 2026.8, Weblate's object-scoped RSS feeds do not apply the permission checks used elsewhere, allowing unauthorized users to read change-history metadata from private projects and restricted components. On installations that permit anonymous access, this metadata can be retrieved without any authentication. The exposed information can include project and component identities, contributor usernames and full names, action types, timestamps, and translation or unit links, though translated-string content is not included in the feed. Installations using private projects or restricted components are affected. This issue is fixed in version 2026.8.Show less

Frappe is a full-stack web application framework written in Python and JavaScript. Prior to version 15.115.0, an access control bypass in the REST API allows a user to read data from Linked DocTypes that they are not authorized to access. When a document references another document through a Link field, the framework does not consistently enforce the linked DocType's own permissions when the record is retrieved through the REST API, so a low-privileged authenticated user can obtain fields from linked records outside their permitted scope. Fleet is an open-source device management platform built on osquery. In versions prior to 4.85.0, the global policy read endpoint (GET /api/latest/fleet/policies/{policy_id}) fails to verify team ownership of the requested policy, allowing an authenticated user with observer-level access on any single team to read the full details of policies belonging to any other team and bypass Fleet's team isolation model. The handler authorizes the request against an empty policy object whose TeamID is nil, which an authorization rule permits for any user holding a role on any team, and then fetches the policy by ID with no team filter and returns it without any post-fetch scope check. Because policy IDs are sequential integers, an attacker can enumerate them to read other teams' policy SQL queries, host pass and fail counts, and associated software-installer and script metadata, exposing security-monitoring strategies and compliance posture across team boundaries. This issue is fixed in version 4.85.0.Show less

On Linux, several OpenZFS ioctl authorization checks accept a capability held only within a user-created, unprivileged namespace as equivalent to real host privilege, allowing an unprivileged local user to perform operations that should require root. Affected operations include pool-administrative operations (eg create, import, destroy), pool event log access (zpool events) and fault injection (zinject). Exploiting the problem requires only that the local user is permitted to open /dev/zfs (governed by local device permissions) and that the kernel permits unprivileged user namespace creation. No prior access to the target pool or its underlying devices is needed.Show less

The Grav API plugin (getgrav/grav-plugin-api) before 1.0.18 does not apply the API-key scope cap in the injectSecurityTab() function of BlueprintController when deciding whether a page's security/permissions blueprint section is editable. Because the function performs raw isSuperAdmin()/hasPermission() checks without a request parameter, it cannot enforce scopeAllows(). A caller holding a scoped API key may therefore see (and potentially edit) page permission fields beyond the scope granted to the key. The end-to-end write-time impact was not fully confirmed by the reporter.Show less
