netfs: Fix streaming write being overwritten
In order to avoid reading whilst writing, netfslib will allow "streaming
writes" in which dirty data is stored directly into folios without reading
them first. Such folios are marked dirty but may not be marked uptodate.
If a folio is entirely written by a streaming write, uptodate will be set,
otherwise it will have a netfs_folio struct attached to ->private recording
the dirty region.
In the event that a partially written streaming write page is to be
overwritten entirely by a single write(), netfs_perform_write() will try to
copy over it, but doesn't discard the netfs_folio if it succeeds; further,
it doesn't correctly handle a partial copy that overwrites some of the
dirty data.
Fix this by the following:
(1) If the folio is successfully overwritten, free the netfs_folio struct
before marking the page uptodate.
(2) If the copy to the folio partially fails, but short of the dirty data,
just ignore the copy.
(3) If the copy partially fails and overwrites some of the dirty data,
accept the copy, update the netfs_folio struct to record the new data.
If the folio is now filled, free the netfs_folio and set uptodate,
otherwise return a partial write.

KVM: SVM: Fix page overflow in sev_dbg_crypt() for ENCRYPT path
In sev_dbg_crypt(), the per-iteration transfer length is bounded by
the source page offset (PAGE_SIZE - s_off) but not by the destination
page offset (PAGE_SIZE - d_off). When d_off > s_off, the encrypt
path (__sev_dbg_encrypt_user) performs a read-modify-write using a
single-page intermediate buffer (dst_tpage):
1. __sev_dbg_decrypt() expands the size to round_up(len + (d_off & 15), 16)
before issuing the PSP command. If len + (d_off & 15) > PAGE_SIZE,
the PSP writes beyond the end of the 4096-byte dst_tpage allocation.
2. The subsequent memcpy()/copy_from_user() into
page_address(dst_tpage) + (d_off & 15) of 'len' bytes overflows
by up to 15 bytes under the same condition.
Trigger example: s_off = 0, d_off = 1, debug.len = PAGE_SIZE -
the PSP is instructed to write round_up(4097, 16) = 4112 bytes to
a 4096-byte buffer.
Fix by also bounding len by (PAGE_SIZE - d_off), the same check that
sev_send_update_data() already performs for its single-page guest
region.

media: rzv2h-ivc: Fix concurrent buffer list access
The list of buffers (`rzv2h_ivc::buffers.queue`) is protected by a
spinlock (`rzv2h_ivc::buffers.lock`). However, in
`rzv2h_ivc_transfer_buffer()`, which runs in a separate workqueue, the
`list_del()` call is executed without holding the spinlock, which makes
it possible for the list to be concurrently modified
Fix that by removing a buffer from the list in the lock protected section.

In QU...Show moreQuicly is an IETF QUIC protocol implementation intended primarily for use within the H2O HTTP server. Prior to commit 8b178e6, Quicly is vulnerable to a Denial of Service attack through connection state corruption. In QUIC Invariants, the maximum length of a Connection ID is 255 bytes, while QUIC version 1 further restricts the maximum to 20 bytes. Quicly implements QUIC version 1 and therefore its CID buffers are limited to 20 bytes. However, to be able to respond to unknown versions of QUIC, its packet decoder accepts Connection IDs of up to 255 bytes. As its CID buffers are merely 20 bytes long, Quicly must reject QUIC version 1 packets with Connection IDs longer than that. The command line tool bundled with Quicly has had that check, however the library itself lacked such enforcement. As a consequence, when used by applications that lack their own enforcement, the connection state becoming inconsistent to buffer overrun. Fortunately, the overflow stops within the allocated chunk of memory, but nevertheless, the bug leads to assertion failures. This issue has been fixed by commit 8b178e6.Show less |

In eth_adin2111_oa_data_read(), each valid chunk was memcpy'd into ctx->buf[ctx->scur] and the write cursor scur advanced, with no check that scur + len stayed within the buffer. The number of chunks (up to 255, from the BUFSTS RCA field) and the per-chunk length are taken entirely from the frame data received off the wire; the cursor is only reset on a start-of-frame chunk. An attacker on the single-pair Ethernet segment can therefore send a frame whose reassembled size exceeds the configured buffer, causing the driver's RX offload thread to write attacker-controlled frame bytes past the end of the static buffer into adjacent driver/kernel memory (up to roughly 14.8 KB in the worst case). This is a remotely/adjacently reachable out-of-bounds write (CWE-787) that can corrupt memory and cause denial of service or potentially code execution. The defect was introduced when OA SPI support was added (commit 0ca8b0756b1) and shipped in releases v3.7.0 through v4.4.0. The fix adds a bounds check that drops the oversized frame and resets the cursor before the copy.Show less |
