Improper validation when parsing BASS service "Add Source" and "Modify Source" operation PDU could results in stack buffer overflow or arbitrary out-of-bound read.
This can be triggered by nearby devices over Bluetooth connection, however pairing is required prior to accessing BASS service, which depending on device configuration may or may not require user action.
This issue affects Apache NimBLE: through 1.9.0.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.10.0, which fixes the issue.Show less |

A stack-based buffer overflow in the file download path could allow remote code execution on a victim host. An attacker could exploit this by uploading a file with a crafted encryption metadata field to a shared internal stage that a victim process later downloads, and impact would be limited to deployments where principals with different privilege levels share the same internal stage. A related out-of-bounds write in the same download path could allow memory corruption with attacker-controlled write primitives. An attacker may exploit this through a crafted initialization vector metadata field on a shared stage, and impact would be limited by the same stage-write precondition. Improper validation of connection parameters could allow an attacker-controlled input to redirect outbound authentication requests — including credentials and tokens — to an attacker-controlled endpoint. Impact is limited to embedding deployments where a lower-privileged principal can influence connection configuration while higher-privileged service credentials are in use. The fix is available in Snowflake libsnowflakeclient version 2.9.2. The Snowflake PHP PDO Driver and Snowflake ODBC Driver embed the affected library; fixes are available in versions 4.1.0 and 3.19.0 respectively. Users must manually upgrade.Show less |

In the affected versions the MCTP_I2C_GPIO_RX_MSG_ADDR (data) handler dereferences and writes through b->rx_pkt without checking that the receive buffer was allocated: a controller that selects the data register and writes a byte without first sending the length register (which is what allocates the buffer) causes a write of an attacker-chosen byte through a NULL/unallocated mctp_pktbuf pointer (i.e. into a small attacker-advanceable offset above address 0), producing memory corruption or a hard fault.
The same handler also performs a write-then-check bounds test, allowing a one-byte heap overflow at data[255] when more than 255 data bytes are sent.
Because the I2C target callback is invoked with raw bytes supplied by whatever device is the bus master and the binding performs no authentication, a malicious or malfunctioning controller on the bus can trigger these without any prior protocol state, leading to memory corruption and/or denial of service on the target device.
The vulnerable code was introduced when the I2C+GPIO target binding was added and shipped in Zephyr v4.3.0 and v4.4.0. The fix defers allocation to the first data byte with a NULL check, treats a missing length as a zero-sized packet rejected by libmctp, and moves the bounds check before the store.Show less |

The attach-time validator dsu_validate_header checks the header scalars and region layout against the file size, but does not validate the array contents it then trusts. dsu_find walks and path-compresses parent[x] with x a raw file-stored index never bounded against the node count, so both the read and the compression write-back land out of bounds.
A local peer that can write the backing file can leave the header valid while poisoning the parent array, so the next find or union both reads and writes through an out-of-bounds parent index, corrupting memory or crashing the process.Show less |

The attach-time validator sph_validate_header checks the header scalars and region layout against the file size, but does not validate the array contents it then trusts. sph_walk_cell reads entries[buckets[b]] and follows each entry's next link raw, and sph_alloc_slot writes through a file-stored free_head index, none bounded against the entry count (max_entries).
A local peer that can write the backing file can leave the header valid while poisoning the bucket chain and free list, so a query reads through an out-of-bounds bucket and next index and an insert writes through an out-of-bounds free-list head, corrupting memory or crashing the process.Show less |

The internal reassembly code does not properly validate sequence numbers of incoming payload fragments. An attacker can exploit this lack of verification by transmitting malformed packets with corrupted sequence parameters. Under specific conditions, this forces the packet processing layer to parse data outside the designated bounds of the internal memory structures, causing an out-of-bounds memory access or heap corruption. This behavior can result in sudden application crashes or system instability.Show less |

wifi: wilc1000: fix dma_buffer leak on bus acquire failure
wilc_wlan_firmware_download() allocates dma_buffer with kmalloc() at
the top of the function and uses a 'fail:' label to free it via
kfree(dma_buffer) on error.
All later error paths correctly use 'goto fail' to route through this
cleanup. However, the early failure path after the first acquire_bus()
call uses a bare 'return ret;', which leaks dma_buffer whenever the bus
acquire fails.
Replace the early return with goto fail so the existing cleanup path
runs.
Found via a custom Coccinelle semantic patch hunting for kmalloc'd
locals leaked on early-return error paths in driver firmware-download

drm/amd/display: Validate GPIO pin LUT table size before iterating
[Why&How]
The GPIO pin table parsers in get_gpio_i2c_info() and
bios_parser_get_gpio_pin_info() derive an element count from the VBIOS
table_header.structuresize field, then iterate over gpio_pin[] entries.
However, GET_IMAGE() only validates that the table header itself fits
within the BIOS image. If the VBIOS reports a structuresize larger than
the actual mapped data, the loop reads past the end of the BIOS image,
causing an out-of-bounds read.
Fix this by calling bios_get_image() to validate that the full claimed
structuresize is accessible within the BIOS image before entering the
loop in both functions.

hwmon: (pmbus/adm1266) bounce blackbox records through a protocol-sized buffer
adm1266_pmbus_block_xfer() copies the device-supplied block payload
into the caller-provided buffer using the device-supplied length:
memcpy(data_r, &msgs[1].buf[1], msgs[1].buf[0]);
The helper does not know how large data_r is and trusts the device to
return at most one record's worth of bytes. adm1266_nvmem_read_blackbox()
violates that contract: it advances read_buff inside data->dev_mem in
ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE (64-byte) strides while the helper is willing to
write up to ADM1266_PMBUS_BLOCK_MAX (255) bytes. A device that returns
more than 64 bytes on the trailing record (read_buff offset 1984 in
the 2048-byte dev_mem allocation) overflows dev_mem by up to 191 bytes
before the post-call
if (ret != ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE)
return -EIO;
can reject the response.
Contain the fix in the caller without changing the helper signature:
read each record into a 255-byte local bounce buffer that matches the
helper's maximum output, validate the returned length, and only then
copy exactly ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE bytes into the dev_mem slot.Show less |

hwmon: (pmbus/adm1266) cap PDIO scan in get_multiple at ADM1266_PDIO_NR
adm1266_gpio_get_multiple() iterates the PDIO portion of the
caller-supplied mask using
for_each_set_bit_from(gpio_nr, mask,
ADM1266_GPIO_NR + ADM1266_PDIO_STATUS) {
...
}
where ADM1266_PDIO_STATUS is the PMBus command code (0xE9, i.e. 233),
not the number of PDIO pins. The intended upper bound is
ADM1266_GPIO_NR + ADM1266_PDIO_NR = 25.
gpiolib hands in a mask sized for gc.ngpio (= 25 bits on this chip),
so the iteration walks find_next_bit() up to 242, reading up to 217
extra bits (a handful of unsigned-long words: four on 64-bit, seven
on 32-bit) of whatever lives past the end of the mask in the
caller's stack. Any incidental set bit in that range then drives a
set_bit(gpio_nr, bits) call that writes past the end of the
caller-supplied bits array too -- both out-of-bounds.
Substitute ADM1266_PDIO_NR for the constant so the scan stops at the
last real PDIO bit.Show less |

zero-length payloads, and ensure that any non-header payload starts at
the UUID field rather than in the middle of the message header.

fs/statmount: fix slab out-of-bounds write in statmount_mnt_idmap
statmount_mnt_idmap() writes one mapping with seq_printf() and then
manually advances seq->count to include the NUL separator.
If seq_printf() overflows, seq_set_overflow() sets seq->count to
seq->size. The manual seq->count++ changes this to seq->size + 1.
seq_has_overflowed() then no longer detects the overflow. The corrupted
count returns to statmount_string(), which later executes:
seq->buf[seq->count++] = '\0';
This causes a 1-byte NULL out-of-bounds write on the dynamically
allocated seq buffer.
Fix this by checking for overflow immediately after seq_printf().Show less |
