8 CVEs • Abstraction: Base • Likelihood of Exploit: High

Reliance on Obfuscation or Encryption of Security-Relevant Inputs without Integrity Checking

The product uses obfuscation or encryption of inputs that should not be mutable by an external actor, but the product does not use integrity checks to detect if those inputs have been modified.

Reliance on Obfuscation or Encryption of Security-Relevant Inputs without Integrity Checking vulnerability in danielberkompas cloak allows an attacker with write access to stored ciphertext to make it decrypt to a chosen value via bit flipping. Cloak.Ciphers.AES.CTR encrypts with AES-256 in CTR mode and stores the key tag, the IV and the ciphertext with no MAC. decrypt/2 checks only the key tag and the minimum length before it returns the plaintext, and Cloak.Ciphers.Deprecated.AES.CTR decrypts the legacy format the same way. CTR is a stream cipher, so a value XORed into the stored ciphertext is XORed into the plaintext at the same offset. An attacker who can write to the encrypted store (for example through SQL injection or a compromised replica) and who knows or can guess a stored plaintext can replace it with any value of the same length. The application receives that value with no error. This issue affects cloak: from 0.1.0-pre onward.Show less

ZITADEL 4.x before 4.17.3 and 3.x through 3.4.15 protects IdP intent tokens with unauthenticated, malleable encryption, allowing authenticated users to tamper with their own token so it is accepted for another user's external login intent. An attacker who predicts a victim's in-flight intent identifier and wins a timing race can call /v2/idp_intents or /v2/sessions to steal the victim's IdP tokens or hijack their session.Show less

A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in fossasia open-event-server 1.19.1. This issue affects the function send_email_change_user_email of the file /fossasia/open-event-server/blob/development/app/api/helpers/mail.py of the component Mail Verification Handler. The manipulation leads to reliance on obfuscation or encryption of security-relevant inputs without integrity checking. The attack may be initiated remotely. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.Show less

Reliance on obfuscation or encryption of security-relevant inputs without integrity checking issue exists in "FreeFrom - the nostr client" App versions prior to 1.3.5 for Android and iOS. If this vulnerability is exploited, the content of direct messages (DMs) between users may be manipulated by a man-in-the-middle attack.Show less

RSA BSAFE Micro Edition Suite versions prior to 4.1.6.3 (in 4.1.x) and prior to 4.4 (in 4.2.x and 4.3.x), are vulnerable to an Information Exposure Through an Error Message vulnerability, also known as a “padding oracle attack vulnerability”. A malicious remote user could potentially exploit this vulnerability to extract information leaving data at risk of exposure.Show less
