The root cause is that erofs_workgroup_unfreeze() doesn't reset to
orig_val thus it causes a race that the pcluster reuses unexpectedly
before freeing.
Since UP platforms are quite rare now, such path becomes unnecessary.
Let's drop such specific-designed path directly instead.Show less |

peci: cpu: Fix use-after-free in adev_release()
When auxiliary_device_add() returns an error, auxiliary_device_uninit()
is called, which causes refcount for device to be decremented and
.release callback will be triggered.
Because adev_release() re-calls auxiliary_device_uninit(), it will cause
use-after-free:

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Kofax Power PDF. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of JP2 files. The issue results from the lack of validating the existence of an object prior to performing operations on the object. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-21837.Show less |
