The MonitorIds array is allocated through the settings object, and a raw non-owning pointer to it is freed on the strtoul error path without clearing settings->MonitorIds, leaving it dangling; at teardown freerdp_settings_free() frees the same buffer again. An attacker who convinces a victim to open a crafted .rdp file with oversized monitor tokens can trigger a size-controlled double-free in any FreeRDP CLI client (xfreerdp/sdl-freerdp/wlfreerdp) in the default configuration.Show less |

In the bundled libsyck, when an anchor name is redefined or removed, syck_hdlr_add_anchor and syck_hdlr_remove_anchor free the node stored under that name with syck_free_node. That node can still be live on the parser's value stack, so syck_hdlr_add_node reaches it again and frees it a second time. On a normal build the 48-byte node chunk is freed twice and the interpreter aborts. Anchors need no special flags, so this is reached on the default Load path, and a 7-byte document that redefines an anchor triggers it.
Any caller that runs Load or LoadFile on an untrusted document that redefines an anchor mid-parse crashes the interpreter, a denial of service.Show less |

The API is documented as self-synchronizing: callers may share one buffer across threads (e.g. via k_fifo) and each holder independently calls net_buf_unref() with no surrounding lock. Under true concurrency (SMP, or single-core preemption between the non-atomic load and store while another context unrefs the same buffer), two holders can both observe the same prior reference value and both conclude they are the last reference.
For heap/variable-data pools (mem_pool_data_unref/heap_data_unref, used by zbus message subscribers, the IP stack RX/TX buffers when CONFIG_NET_BUF_FIXED_DATA_SIZE=n, capture, wireguard, ISO-TP and usbip) this produces a double k_heap_free()/k_free() of the same block -- heap-metadata corruption and a use-after-free on the heap-hardening poison pattern.
For the per-header refcount the buffer is returned to the pool free LIFO twice for any pool type (including fixed-data pools used by Bluetooth and networking), corrupting the free list so a later allocation hands the same buffer to two owners.
The fix converts both refcounts to atomic_inc/atomic_dec (overlaying buf->ref in an atomic_t-sized union and changing the data-block refcount from uint8_t to atomic_t).
Impact is gated on genuine concurrency and on an application architecture that shares one buffer among multiple independent unref'ers; the trigger is a refcount/timing race rather than packet content, so an external attacker has at most weak indirect influence over the race window. Affects all Zephyr releases through v4.4.0.Show less |

During parsing of a specially crafted RAR5 archive, the filtered_buf pointer may remain stale after being freed during unpacking state reinitialization. Subsequent processing of another archive entry can trigger a second free of the same memory region, resulting in a double-free condition. Successful exploitation may cause applications using the vulnerable libarchive API to terminate unexpectedly, leading to a denial of service.Show less |

vfio/pci: Clean up DMABUFs before disabling function
On device shutdown, make vfio_pci_core_close_device() call
vfio_pci_dma_buf_cleanup() before the function is disabled via
vfio_pci_core_disable(). This ensures that all access via DMABUFs is
revoked before the function's BARs become inaccessible.
This fixes an issue where, if the function is disabled first, a tiny
window exists in which the function's MSE is cleared and yet BARs
could still be accessed via the DMABUF. The resources would also be
freed and up for grabs by a different driver.Show less |

idpf: fix double free and use-after-free in aux device error paths
When auxiliary_device_add() fails in idpf_plug_vport_aux_dev() or
idpf_plug_core_aux_dev(), the err_aux_dev_add label calls
auxiliary_device_uninit() and falls through to err_aux_dev_init. The
uninit call will trigger put_device(), which invokes the release
callback (idpf_vport_adev_release / idpf_core_adev_release) that frees
iadev. The fall-through then reads adev->id from the freed iadev for
ida_free() and double-frees iadev with kfree().
Free the IDA slot and clear the back-pointer before uninit, while adev
is still valid, then return immediately.

netdev: fix double-free in netdev_nl_bind_rx_doit()
Sashiko flags that genlmsg_reply() always consumes the skb.
The error path calls nlmsg_free(rsp) so we can't jump directly
to it. Let's not unbind, just propagate the error to the user.
This is the typical way of handling genlmsg_reply() failures.
They shouldn't happen unless user does something silly like
calling the kernel with an already-full rcvbuf.Show less |

PCI: endpoint: pci-ep-msi: Fix error unwind and prevent double alloc
pci_epf_alloc_doorbell() stores the allocated doorbell message array in
epf->db_msg/epf->num_db before requesting MSI vectors. If MSI allocation
fails, the array is freed but the EPF state may still point to freed
memory.
Clear epf->db_msg and epf->num_db on the MSI allocation failure path so
that later cleanup cannot double-free the array and callers can retry
allocation.
Also return -EBUSY when doorbells have already been allocated to prevent
leaking or overwriting an existing allocation.Show less |

ice: fix double-free of tx_buf skb
If ice_tso() or ice_tx_csum() fail, the error path in
ice_xmit_frame_ring() frees the skb, but the 'first' tx_buf still points
to it and is marked as valid (ICE_TX_BUF_SKB).
'next_to_use' remains unchanged, so the potential problem will
likely fix itself when the next packet is transmitted and the tx_buf
gets overwritten. But if there is no next packet and the interface is
brought down instead, ice_clean_tx_ring() -> ice_unmap_and_free_tx_buf()
will find the tx_buf and free the skb for the second time.
The fix is to reset the tx_buf type to ICE_TX_BUF_EMPTY in the error
path, so that ice_unmap_and_free_tx_buf().
Move the initialization of 'first' up, to ensure it's already valid in
case we hit the linearization error path.
The bug was spotted by AI while I had it looking for something else.
It also proposed an initial version of the patch.
I reproduced the bug and tested the fix by adding code to inject
