Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in hexpm hexpm/hexpm allows Excessive Allocation. Publishing an oversized package can cause Hex.pm to run out of memory while extracting the uploaded package tarball. This can terminate the affected application instance and result in a denial of service for package publishing and potentially other package-processing functionality. This issue affects hexpm: before 495f01607d3eae4aed7ad09b2f54f31ec7a7df01; hex.pm: before 2026-03-10.Show less

Tornado is a Python web framework and asynchronous networking library. In versions of Tornado prior to 6.5.5, the only limit on the number of parts in multipart/form-data is the max_body_size setting (default 100MB). Since parsing occurs synchronously on the main thread, this creates the possibility of denial-of-service due to the cost of parsing very large multipart bodies with many parts. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.5.5.Show less

Although the engine reports an OOM error, it subsequently aborts with SIGABRT because the GC object list is not fully released. This results in a denial of service.Show less

Binutils objdump contains a denial-of-service vulnerability when processing a crafted binary with malformed DWARF debug_rnglists data. A logic error in the handling of the debug_rnglists header can cause objdump to repeatedly print the same warning message and fail to terminate, resulting in an unbounded logging loop until the process is interrupted. The issue was observed in binutils 2.44. A local attacker can exploit this vulnerability by supplying a malicious input file, leading to excessive CPU and I/O usage and preventing completion of the objdump analysis.Show less

Binutils objdump contains a denial-of-service vulnerability when processing a crafted binary with malformed DWARF debug information. A logic error in the handling of DWARF compilation units can result in an invalid offset_size value being used inside byte_get_little_endian, leading to an abort (SIGABRT). An issue was discovered in Binutils before 2.46. The objdump contains a denial-of-service vulnerability when processing a crafted binary with malformed debug information. A logic flaw in the handling of DWARF location list headers can cause objdump to enter an unbounded loop and produce endless output until manually interrupted. This issue affects versions prior to the upstream fix and allows a local attacker to cause excessive resource consumption by supplying a malicious input file.Show less

CoreDNS is a DNS server that chains plugins. Prior to version 1.14.2, a denial of service vulnerability exists in CoreDNS's loop detection plugin that allows an attacker to crash the DNS server by sending specially crafted DNS queries. The vulnerability stems from the use of a predictable pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) for generating a secret query name, combined with a fatal error handler that terminates the entire process. This issue has been patched in version 1.14.2.Show less

OliveTin gives access to predefined shell commands from a web interface. Prior to version 3000.10.3, an unauthenticated denial-of-service vulnerability exists in OliveTin’s OAuth2 login flow. Concurrent requests to /oauth/login can trigger unsynchronized access to a shared registeredStates map, causing a Go runtime panic (fatal error: concurrent map writes) and process termination. This allows remote attackers to crash the service when OAuth2 is enabled. This issue has been patched in version 3000.10.3.Show less

OliveTin gives access to predefined shell commands from a web interface. Prior to version 3000.10.2, the PasswordHash API endpoint allows unauthenticated users to trigger excessive memory allocation by sending concurrent password hashing requests. By issuing multiple parallel requests, an attacker can exhaust available container memory, leading to service degradation or complete denial of service (DoS). The issue occurs because the endpoint performs computationally and memory-intensive hashing operations without request throttling, authentication requirements, or resource limits. This issue has been patched in version 3000.10.2.Show less

Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to versions 2.11.38 and 3.6.9, there is a potential vulnerability in Traefik managing TLS handshake on TCP routers. When Traefik processes a TLS connection on a TCP router, the read deadline used to bound protocol sniffing is cleared before the TLS handshake is completed. When a TLS handshake read error occurs, the code attempts a second handshake with different connection parameters, silently ignoring the initial error. A remote unauthenticated client can exploit this by sending an incomplete TLS record and stopping further data transmission, causing the TLS handshake to stall indefinitely and holding connections open. By opening many such stalled connections in parallel, an attacker can exhaust file descriptors and goroutines, degrading availability of all services on the affected entrypoint. This issue has been patched in versions 2.11.38 and 3.6.9.Show less

Python-Markdown version 3.8 contain a vulnerability where malformed HTML-like sequences can cause html.parser.HTMLParser to raise an unhandled AssertionError during Markdown parsing. Because Python-Markdown does not catch this exception, any application that processes attacker-controlled Markdown may crash. This enables remote, unauthenticated Denial of Service in web applications, documentation systems, CI/CD pipelines, and any service that renders untrusted Markdown. The issue was acknowledged by the vendor and fixed in version 3.8.1. This issue causes a remote Denial of Service in any application parsing untrusted Markdown, and can lead to Information Disclosure through uncaught exceptions.Show less

In Eclipse Jetty, versions 12.0.0-12.0.31 and 12.1.0-12.0.5, class GzipHandler exposes a vulnerability when a compressed HTTP request, with Content-Encoding: gzip, is processed and the corresponding response is not compressed. This happens because the JDK Inflater is allocated for decompressing the request, but it is not released because the release mechanism is tied to the compressed response. In this case, since the response is not compressed, the release mechanism does not trigger, causing the leak.Show less

cpp-httplib is a C++11 single-file header-only cross platform HTTP/HTTPS library. Prior to 0.35.0, cpp-httplib (httplib.h) does not enforce Server::set_payload_max_length() on the decompressed request body when using HandlerWithContentReader (streaming ContentReader) with Content-Encoding: gzip (or other supported encodings). A small compressed payload can expand beyond the configured payload limit and be processed by the application, enabling a payload size limit bypass and potential denial of service (CPU/memory exhaustion). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.35.0.Show less

Multiple Cisco products are affected by a vulnerability in the Snort 3 Detection Engine that could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause the Snort 3 Detection Engine to restart, resulting in an interruption of packet inspection. This vulnerability is due to an error in the JSTokenizer normalization logic when the HTTP inspection normalizes JavaScript. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP packets through an established connection that is parsed by Snort 3. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause a DoS condition when the Snort 3 Detection Engine restarts unexpectedly. JSTokenizer is not enabled by default.Show less

A technique has been identified that adapts a known port-stealing method to Wi-Fi environments that use multiple BSSIDs. By leveraging the relationship between BSSIDs and their associated virtual ports, an attacker could potentially bypass inter-BSSID isolation controls. Successful exploitation may enable an attacker to redirect and intercept the victim's network traffic, potentially resulting in eavesdropping, session hijacking, or denial of service.Show less
