WWBN AVideo generates passwords for external-login accounts using rand() instead of a cryptographic generator, producing only 31-bit integers. Attackers with access to password hashes can recover plaintext passwords in minutes through offline brute-force attacks due to unsalted MD5-based hashing.Show less

The API Publisher component previously used a non-cryptographic pseudorandom number generator (PRNG) to create shared secrets for Webhook HMAC validation. This PRNG lacks sufficient entropy for security-sensitive operations, allowing a sophisticated attacker to predict future secrets. This enables malicious actors to forge event payloads with valid HMAC signatures, bypassing the API Gateway's authenticity verification. Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to predict shared secrets used for Webhook HMAC validation and forge event payloads with valid signatures. This may enable bypassing API Gateway authenticity checks, leading to unauthorized event injection, data manipulation, or downstream system compromise.Show less

ProfilePress (wp-user-avatar) WordPress plugin before 4.17.2 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to install and activate arbitrary plugins by brute-forcing a weak 32-bit connect token via the ppress_connect_process AJAX handler. Attackers can supply a caller-controlled URL through the file request parameter to trigger silent plugin installation and activation, achieving PHP code execution as the web-server user.Show less

Use of Insufficiently Random Values vulnerability in ash-project ash_admin ships a hardcoded, publicly known CSP nonce, defeating nonce-based Content-Security-Policy protection. When mounted without :csp_nonce_assign_key, AshAdmin.Router.ash_admin/2 defaulted the img, style, and script nonces to the literal constant ash_admin-Ed55GFnX, which AshAdmin.Layouts wrote verbatim into the nonce attribute of its inline <style> and <script> tags on every response. The value is a compile-time constant published in the repository and is never rotated per request. If an application's CSP script-src allow-lists that documented default, any HTML-injection sink on an admin page can reuse the known nonce to run inline scripts the policy was meant to block. The fix generates a fresh random nonce per request. This issue affects ash_admin: from 0.10.8 before 1.3.1.Show less

Typebot is an open-source chatbot builder. In self-hosted versions up to and including 3.17.1, the default passwordless email magic-link authentication is vulnerable to login-code brute forcing that leads to account takeover. The email provider overrides NextAuth's default cryptographically secure token with a 6-digit code generated using Math.random(), reducing the keyspace to 900,000 with a 10-minute expiry, and the code itself is the raw value placed in the magic link. The verification callback enforces no attempt limit, lockout, or CSRF protection, and an incorrect guess does not consume the real code because the adapter returns null on a not-found token, so a valid code survives unlimited guessing within its lifetime. The only rate limiter applies to the code-sending path and is keyed on the client-controlled X-Forwarded-For header, allowing an attacker to request many concurrent live codes for one victim and further raise the odds of a matching guess. As a result, an anonymous attacker who knows a victim's email address can brute-force the callback and obtain an authenticated session as that user with no victim interaction, gaining full access to the victim's bots, results, and connected integration credentials. Deployments configured for OAuth or SSO only, with no email provider, are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 3.18.0Show less

Adminer before 5.4.3 uses a CSRF token scheme that transmits both the XOR mask and the masked value in every token (format (rand XOR secret):rand), allowing anyone who observes a single CSRF token (e.g., via network sniffing, log files, Referrer header, or XSS) to recover the session secret with a single XOR operation and forge unlimited valid tokens. The implementation is further weakened by a low-entropy session token (rand(1,1e6), ~20 bits) that permits blind brute-force, and by use of loose comparison (==) in token verification, enabling PHP type juggling. Exploitation enables cross-site request forgery against authenticated sessions, including execution of arbitrary SQL queries.Show less

A flaw was found in libkcapi. When performing one-shot symmetric cipher operations on large inputs (over 64 KiB) in stateful modes such as Counter (CTR) or Cipher Block Chaining (CBC), the library improperly reuses the Initialization Vector (IV) for each internal data chunk. A remote attacker could potentially exploit this by making an application that uses libkcapi process specially crafted large inputs. This can lead to a significant weakening of data confidentiality, as the repeated IV use can expose relationships in encrypted plaintext, and may also affect data integrity by causing incorrect cryptographic processing.Show less

Crypt::DSA versions before 1.22 for Perl draw the DSA signing nonce and private key from a biased random generator, leading to private-key recovery. "Crypt::DSA::Util::makerandom forces the high bit of every value it returns to obtain an exactly N-bit integer for prime search. The signing nonce and the private key are drawn from makerandom. Because the high bit is always set, the result is not uniform: its top bit is fixed, producing insecure values." An attacker who collects a modest number of signatures under an affected key, together with the public key, can recover the private key with a lattice attack. Keys used to sign with an affected version should be considered compromised and new keys should be generated.Show less
