The IDC SFX2100 Satellite Receiver sets overly permissive file system permissions on the monitor user's home directory. The directory is configured with permissions 0777, granting read, write, and execute access to all local users on the system, which may cause local privilege escalation depending on conditions of the system due to the presence of highly privileged processes and binaries residing within the affected directory.Show less

A SUID root-owned binary in /home/xd/terminal/XDTerminal in International Data Casting (IDC) SFX2100 on Linux allows a local actor to potentially preform local privilege escalation depending on conditions of the system via execution of the affected SUID binary. International Data Casting (IDC) SFX2100 satellite receiver comes with the `/bin/date` utility installed with the setuid bit set. This configuration grants elevated privileges to any local user who can execute the binary. A local actor is able to use the GTFObins resource to preform privileged file reads as the root user on the local file system. This allows an actor to be able to read any root read-only files, such as the /etc/shadow file or other configuration/secrets carrier files.Show less

A vulnerability in the lockdown mechanism of Cisco Secure Firewall Management Center (FMC) Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to perform arbitrary commands as root. This vulnerability is due to insufficient restrictions on remediation modules while in lockdown mode. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted input to the system CLI of the affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to run arbitrary commands or code as root, even when the system is in lockdown mode. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid administrative credentials.Show less

The User Registration & Membership – Custom Registration Form Builder, Custom Login Form, User Profile, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to improper privilege management in all versions up to, and including, 5.1.2. This is due to the plugin accepting a user-supplied role during membership registration without properly enforcing a server-side allowlist. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to create administrator accounts by supplying a role value during membership registration.Show less

The LatePoint – Calendar Booking Plugin for Appointments and Events plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via password reset in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.7. This is due to the plugin allowing users with a LatePoint Agent role, who are creating new customers to set the 'wordpress_user_id' field. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Agent-level access and above, to gain elevated privileges by linking a customer to the arbitrary user ID, including administrators, and then resetting the password.Show less

The Listee theme for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.6. This is due to a broken validation check in the bundled listee-core plugin's user registration function that fails to properly sanitize the user_role parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register as Administrator by manipulating the user_role parameter during registration.Show less
