Uncaught Exception (CWE-248), resulting from Improper Input Validation (CWE-20), in Kibana can lead to denial of service via Input Data Manipulation (CAPEC-153). An authenticated user holding only low-privileged access can cause an internal error condition in Kibana by supplying specially crafted data. The resulting error is raised on an execution path so it propagates as an uncaught exception and terminates the Kibana process. Kibana is unavailable to all users until the service is restarted, and the condition can be triggered repeatedly.Show less

Uncaught Exception (CWE-248) in Kibana Cases can lead to denial of service via Input Data Manipulation (CAPEC-153). Malformed link syntax stored in a case comment was not rejected or sanitized when the comment was later formatted for display, and the resulting unhandled error prevented the affected case from being displayed. An authenticated user holding privileges to comment on a case could store such a comment, after which that case became inaccessible to every user who opened it until the stored comment was removed.Show less

NextAuth.js provides authentication for Next.js. Prior to @auth/core 0.41.3 and next-auth 4.24.15 and 5.0.0-beta.32, the exported getToken() helper in the next-auth/jwt and @auth/core/jwt modules can throw an uncaught exception when it reads a malformed Authorization: Bearer header. When no session cookie is present, getToken() URL-decodes the bearer value before validating it, and malformed percent encoding causes decodeURIComponent() to throw instead of treating the token as invalid. Because getToken() is commonly called in API routes, middleware, and server-side request handlers, a single unauthenticated request can trigger an unhandled exception in code paths that authenticate requests, causing a per-request denial of service without exposing tokens, sessions, or other data and without bypassing authentication. This issue is fixed in @auth/core 0.41.3 and next-auth 4.24.15 and 5.0.0-beta.32.Show less

The dataplane token validator in kuma-cp performs an unchecked Go type assertion on the JWT kid header. A token whose kid is a JSON number decodes as a float64 and triggers a runtime panic before any signature, claims, or authorization check runs. The panic terminates the entire kuma-cp process, HTTP API, the health and readiness endpoints, and xDS. Unauthenticated access to the dataplane gRPC server can trigger the crash with a malformed token A single request is a transient interruption; sustaining an outage requires repeated requests.Show less

Browserslist is a configuration tool for sharing target browsers and Node.js versions between front-end tools. Uncaught exception for some Intel(R) TDX modules within Ring 0: Trust Domain may allow a denial of service. System software adversary with a privileged user combined with a high complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (high) impacts.Show less

Capsule is a multi-tenancy and policy-based framework for Kubernetes. Prior to 0.13.8, CapsuleConfiguration.Spec.NodeMetadata.ForbiddenLabels.Regex and CapsuleConfiguration.Spec.NodeMetadata.ForbiddenAnnotations.Regex were not validated by the configuration admission webhook, allowing a Cluster Admin to store a malformed regex that later reached regexp.MustCompile in pkg/api/forbidden_list.go through internal/webhook/node/user_metadata.go and crashed the node admission webhook on Node create, update, or patch requests. This issue is fixed in version 0.13.8.Show less

undici's cache interceptor mishandles malformed Cache-Control private directives. In undici 7.0.0 up to before 7.29.0 and 8.0.0 up to before 8.9.0, a response carrying a degenerate qualified private directive, such as private set to an empty value, can be stored in the default shared cache and later served to a different caller with the same cache key, disclosing private response bodies and headers including Set-Cookie. Separately, a Cache-Control header that combines an unqualified private directive with a qualified one triggers an uncaught TypeError in the cache-control parser, which rejects the request and, depending on the consumer's error handling, can terminate the process. Both issues affect applications using the cache interceptor in shared mode, including the default configuration. The issues are fixed in undici 7.29.0 and 8.9.0.Show less

find-my-way is a framework-independent HTTP router that internally uses a Radix Tree and supports route parameters and wildcards. Versions prior to 9.7.0 are vulnerable to remotely triggerable DoS in find-my-way when it is used with Node's HTTP/2 server. The lookup() function passes req.method into find(), and find() indexes this.trees[method]. Since this.trees is a normal object, HTTP/2 method values like constructor, toString, or __proto__ can resolve inherited object properties instead of returning undefined. The code then treats that value like a router node and crashes when it reaches currentNode.prefix.length. This issue has been fixed in version 9.0.7.Show less

A flaw was found in libcupsfilters and cups-filters. The PNG image reading function creates a libpng reader without installing an error recovery handler, causing the CUPS image filter process to abort when processing a malformed PNG file. An unauthenticated attacker could exploit this by submitting a specially crafted PNG print job, leading to denial of service of the in-flight print job.Show less
