libgit2 is a portable C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a linkable library with a solid API, allowing to build Git functionality into your application. Prior to 1.8.6 and 1.9.5, libgit2 performs a fixed-size strncmp in set_data in src/libgit2/transports/smart_pkt.c without first verifying that the smart-protocol pkt-line capability buffer contains 14 bytes. A malicious Git server can make bytes after the pkt-line complete object-format=, causing format_str to advance beyond the pkt-line and the following memchr length calculation to underflow. The resulting heap out-of-bounds walk can crash a client during the first refs-advertisement packet over HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, or the Git protocol. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.6 and 1.9.5.Show less

In Splunk Enterprise Security versions below 8.6.1, a user who holds a Splunk Enterprise Security role that contains the mc_investigation_read capability could inject Search Processing Language (SPL) through Analyst Queue search filters, allowing for access to all relevant data and system integrity available to the scheduled searches that run for that user. The vulnerability is possible because the Analyst Queue search filter handling does not validate filter field names before the fields are included in SPL searches. For more information see Users and roles for Splunk Enterprise Security (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise-security-8/install/8.4/installation/users-and-roles-for-splunk-enterprise-security), Manage analyst workflows using the analyst queue in Splunk Enterprise Security (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise-security-8/administer/8.4/mission-control/manage-analyst-workflows-using-the-analyst-queue-in-splunk-enterprise-security), and Overview of Mission Control in Splunk Enterprise Security (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise-security-8/user-guide/8.5/mission-control/overview-of-mission-control-in-splunk-enterprise-security) in the Splunk documentation.Show less

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, an unauthenticated user could trick an authenticated user into opening a crafted link to Analytics Workspace. When the authenticated user opens the link, Splunk Enterprise runs attacker-controlled Search Processing Language (SPL) using the permissions of that user. The injected SPL could access data and perform actions available to that user. The vulnerability is possible because Analytics Workspace does not sufficiently validate data used to build searches. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the user by tricking them into opening the crafted link. The unauthenticated user should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will.Show less

When the authenticated user opens the link, Splunk Enterprise runs attacker-controlled Search Processing Language (SPL) using the permissions of that user. In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could bypass Search Processing Language (SPL) safeguards for risky commands through the Job Details dashboard. The injected SPL could run using the permissions of an authenticated user who opens a crafted Job Details dashboard link. This could allow access to all relevant data and affect system integrity within those permissions. The vulnerability is possible because the Job Details dashboard does not correctly neutralize a caller-supplied search identifier before placing it into SPL searches. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the user by tricking them into opening the crafted link. The user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. BuildKit is a toolkit for converting source code to build artifacts in an efficient, expressive and repeatable manner. Prior to 0.31.1, a custom frontend could place an invalid SecurityMode value in a crafted build request, and executor/oci/spec_linux.go treated the unsupported value as a non-sandbox mode without requiring the security.insecure entitlement. This disabled Seccomp and AppArmor protections for the build container even though Linux capabilities remained restricted. This issue is fixed in version 0.31.1.Show less

An unauthenticated attacker with access to the same network as a partition performing a network boot can prevent that partition from completing its boot sequence. On partitions where OS secure boot is not enabled, which is the default configuration, the attacker can also substitute the boot image, compromising everything subsequently loaded by that partition. Other partitions and the managed system are not affected. Only partitions actively performing a network boot are affected, resulting in a confidentiality, integrity, and availability impact.Show less

Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.6.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, DB::getFile() and DB::searchFile() in src/syscheckd/src/db/src/file.cpp concatenate a monitored file path into SQLite row filters. On non-Windows systems, FIMDBCreator::encodeString() does not escape the value. A local user who can create a filename in a File Integrity Monitoring directory can inject a UNION SELECT expression when wazuh-syscheckd processes or deletes that path. The confirmed primitive manipulates SELECT result sets consumed by the FIM code; stacked statements and remote code execution were not demonstrated. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3.Show less

Streambert is a cross-platform Electron Desktop App to stream and download video content. Prior to version 2.6.0, the open-external IPC handler in src/ipc/downloads.js passes a renderer-supplied url directly to Electron's shell.openExternal without validating its protocol. A compromised renderer can submit file: URIs or operating-system-specific custom schemes, causing the host to open local files, access remote resources through registered handlers, or launch scripts and applications supported by those handlers. Streambert is a cross-platform Electron Desktop App to stream and download video content. Prior to version 2.6.0, the open-path-at-time IPC handler in src/ipc/player.js accepts a renderer-controlled filePath without validating its type or location. If the mpv or VLC launch attempts are skipped or fail, the handler passes filePath to Electron's shell.openPath. A compromised renderer can provide the path of a local executable, script, shortcut, or other file with an executing default handler, causing the operating system to launch it with the privileges of the StreamBERT process and enabling escape from the renderer sandbox. An improper input validation vulnerability in the configuration service for processing encrypted credential data has been identified in Tapo C200 v5.  An attacker can send oversized crypted ciphertext values that may trigger exception handling failures, due to insufficient validation, causing the affected device to crash or restart. Successful exploitation may temporarily disrupt HTTPS management and monitoring functionality, resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition until the service recovers.Show less

fastify is a fast and low overhead web framework for Node.js. Versions of fastify before 5.12.1 are affected by a schema validation bypass when a request body schema targets a root primitive value. When the schema validates a top-level primitive such as an integer, Ajv can coerce a JSON string into the expected type during validation, but Fastify does not replace the root request body with the coerced value, so the route handler receives the original unvalidated string. As a result, a request that should have failed validation can reach application logic with a value that does not satisfy the schema, which can undermine integrity and access-control checks that rely on the validated type. Users should upgrade to fastify 5.12.1, which fixes the mismatch. No known workarounds are available.Show less

The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.31.0, inbound AMQP command assembly in src/main/java/com/rabbitmq/client/impl/CommandAssembler.java processes a content-bearing method and header whose remainingBodyBytes value is smaller than a following AMQP.FRAME_BODY payload. CommandAssembler.consumeBodyFrame subtracts the peer-controlled payload length before validating that it fits, drives remainingBodyBytes negative, and throws a raw UnsupportedOperationException instead of MalformedFrameException. A malicious or compromised broker peer can send this malformed sequence on an open nonzero channel to terminate frame processing and close the client connection, causing denial of service for work using that connection. This issue is fixed in version 5.31.0.Show less
