In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ep93xx: clock: Fix off by one in ep93xx_div_recalc_rate() The psc->div[] array has psc->num_div elements. These values come from when we call clk_hw_register_div(). It's adc_divisors and ARRAY_SIZE(adc_divisors)) and so on. Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to version 7.0.7, a logic error during fragment reassembly can lead to failed reassembly for valid traffic. An attacker could craft packets to trigger this behavior. This issue has been addressed in 7.0.7.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dma-buf: heaps: Fix off-by-one in CMA heap fault handler Until VM_DONTEXPAND was added in commit 1c1914d6e8c6 ("dma-buf: heaps: Don't track CMA dma-buf pages under RssFile") it was possible to obtain a mapping larger than the buffer size via mremap and bypass the overflow check in dma_buf_mmap_internal. When using such a mapping to attempt to fault past the end of the buffer, the CMA heap fault handler also checks the fault offset against the buffer size, but gets the boundary wrong by 1. Fix the boundary check so that we don't read off the end of the pages array and insert an arbitrary page in the mapping.Show less

An insufficient boundary validation in the USB code could lead to an out-of-bounds write on the heap, with data controlled by the caller. A malicious, privileged software running in a guest VM can exploit the vulnerability to achieve code execution on the host in the bhyve userspace process, which typically runs as root. Note that bhyve runs in a Capsicum sandbox, so malicious code is constrained by the capabilities available to the bhyve process.Show less

The st->temp_en[] array has LTC2991_MAX_CHANNEL (4) elements. Thus if "channel" is equal to LTC2991_T_INT_CH_NR then we have read one element beyond the end of the array. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/nouveau: fix off by one in BIOS boundary checking Bounds checking when parsing init scripts embedded in the BIOS reject access to the last byte. This causes driver initialization to fail on Apple eMac's with GeForce 2 MX GPUs, leaving the system with no working console. This is probably only seen on OpenFirmware machines like PowerPC Macs because the BIOS image provided by OF is only the used parts of the ROM, not a power-of-two blocks read from PCI directly so PCs always have empty bytes at the end that are never accessed.Show less

This vulnerability arises due to a lack of validation for the length field after parsing user-provided data, leading to an out-of-bounds heap write of one byte (\0). GIMP PSP File Parsing Off-By-One Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of GIMP. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of PSP files. Crafted data in a PSP file can trigger an off-by-one error when calculating a location to write within a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. . Was ZDI-CAN-22097.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: tcpm: Correct the PDO counting in pd_set Off-by-one errors happen because nr_snk_pdo and nr_src_pdo are incorrectly added one. The index of the loop is equal to the number of PDOs to be updated when leaving the loop and it doesn't need to be added one. When doing the power negotiation, TCPM relies on the "nr_snk_pdo" as the size of the local sink PDO array to match the Source capabilities of the partner port. If the off-by-one overflow occurs, a wrong RDO might be sent and unexpected power transfer might happen such as over voltage or over current (than expected). "nr_src_pdo" is used to set the Rp level when the port is in Source role. It is also the array size of the local Source capabilities when filling up the buffer which will be sent as the Source PDOs (such as in Power Negotiation). If the off-by-one overflow occurs, a wrong Rp level might be set and wrong Source PDOs will be sent to the partner port. This could potentially cause over current or port resets.Show less

This results in a panic when the send completion runs. The exact panic varies depending on what elements of the container structure get corrupted. The fix is to use the correct expression in _pad_sdma_tx_descs() to test the need to expand the descriptor array. With this patch the crashes are no longer reproducible and the machine is stable.Show less
