The Goobi viewer is a web application that allows digitised material to be displayed in a web browser. From version 25.08 to before version 26.05, the IIIF Auth 2.0 endpoints auth/login and auth/token in AuthorizationFlowResource accept an origin query parameter without validation and then (1) embed it into the Content-Security-Policy: frame-ancestors response header and (2) embed it into an HTML response body as a JavaScript single-quoted postMessage argument. Because the attacker controls both the login and token calls that initiate the flow, the unescaped value yields reflected XSS. This issue has been patched in version 26.05.Show less

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements Used in a Template Engine and Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Apache Camel HTTP, Netty HTTP, Undertow and Vert.x HTTP components....Show more
Improper Neutralization of Special Elements Used in a Template Engine and Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Apache Camel HTTP, Netty HTTP, Undertow and Vert.x HTTP components. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. The Camel HTTP producer families let an inbound message override the endpoint URI through the CamelHttpUri and CamelRestHttpUri headers, and then passed that message-supplied string through CamelContext.resolvePropertyPlaceholders() before using it. Property-placeholder resolution is a configuration-resolution facility, not a URI-parsing step: it reaches operating-system environment variables, JVM system properties, every PropertiesFunction registered on the classpath - including the secret functions - and, through camel-bean, the invocation of a no-argument method on any bean in the registry. Applying it to Exchange content therefore turned a URI string into a configuration- and bean-evaluation context. A route author opted into none of this: a plain static to("http://backend/api") was sufficient. Seven call sites were affected: HttpHelper.createURL and HttpHelper.createMethod in camel-http-common, HttpMethodHelper.createMethod in camel-http, VertxHttpHelper.resolveHttpURI in camel-vertx-http, UndertowHelper.createURL and UndertowHelper.createMethod in camel-undertow, and NettyHttpHelper.createURL in camel-netty-http. The bridgeEndpoint option did not bound the exposure: it suppresses the CamelHttpUri override in the createURL family but not in the createMethod family, so a route using the documented bridging configuration still resolved placeholders taken from the header, and CamelRestHttpUri was consumed before any bridgeEndpoint check in all four components. Only camel-http offered an opt-out, skipControlHeaders, which defaults to false. Reaching the headers did not always require header injection, because several Camel HTTP consumers populate CamelHttpUri from the request line themselves as a documented reverse-proxy feature. An unresolvable placeholder additionally produced a RuntimeExchangeException whose message echoed the URI, which distinguishes a set from an unset configuration key even where no outbound request is made. The behaviour predates the 4.x line. This advisory continues the alignment CAMEL-24282 applied to the toD and enrich dynamic-URI EIPs in 4.22.0, extending the same build-time-resolution contract to the HTTP producer components. Users should upgrade to version 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.22.x releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. Users on the 4.18.x releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. The 4.14.x releases stream and earlier reached end of life before this issue was resolved and will not receive a fix, so deployments on those lines must move to a supported release. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, strip the override headers at the trust boundary before the producer with removeHeader("CamelHttpUri") and removeHeader("CamelRestHttpUri"), or set skipControlHeaders=true on camel-http endpoints, which is the only component offering that option. Note that bridgeEndpoint=true is not a workaround: it suppresses the header override when the outbound URL is built but not when the header is re-parsed for the query string. Percent-encoding the placeholder delimiters is likewise not a mitigation for camel-netty-http, whose binding decodes the request path before the value reaches the header, so proxy or WAF rules written against the raw delimiters do not help there. As defence in depth, ensure consumers exposed to untrusted senders apply a strict inbound HeaderFilterStrategy over the Camel namespace, and resolve secrets through a vault rather than through environment variables or system properties that a placeholder can name.Show less

Tianji is an open source analytics, uptime monitoring, and server status platform. Prior to 1.31.29, formatString() in src/server/utils/template.ts passes survey feedTemplate and monitor notification templates to lodash template(), while the default evaluate pattern remains enabled. A workspace administrator can store an evaluate block using the <% code %> form, and the public survey.submit endpoint renders a survey template when an unauthenticated user submits a response. The compiled template executes server-side JavaScript in the Tianji Node.js process, allowing command execution, secret disclosure, data modification, or service disruption. This issue is fixed in version 1.31.29.Show less

A flaw was found in Ansible Operator Plugins. A low-privileged Kubernetes user can exploit a Jinja2 template injection vulnerability by crafting malicious custom resource (CR) specification values. These values are processed by Ansible without proper sanitization, allowing embedded Jinja2 expressions to be executed within the operator pod. This can lead to arbitrary code execution and privilege escalation, granting the attacker control over the operator's service account with cluster-wide permissions.Show less

Thelia 3.0.0's back-office Email/Messages feature contains a server‑side template injection (SSTI) flaw that allows any authenticated user with the “Messages” permission to supply unsandboxed Twig templates, which are then compiled and executed as raw code. By modifying Message content, an attacker can execute arbitrary PHP functions, read sensitive files, and potentially write to the filesystem, leading to full compromise of the application and underlying host. This vulnerability has been patched in thelia/twig-engine-module 1.0.9.Show less

Thelia 2.6.1 contains an absolute path traversal vulnerability in its Smarty template handling that enables SSTI and remote code execution. The `checkTemplate()` validation restricts relative directory traversal sequences such as `../` but does not reject absolute paths, allowing an authorized user to supply an arbitrary filesystem path as a template. Smarty then loads and compiles the referenced file without an effective security policy, so depending on filesystem layout and deployment configuration, template code in the file can be executed with the web server's privileges.Show less

Thelia 2.6.0 uses Smarty for email templates without properly restricting access to dangerous PHP functions. An authenticated administrator can inject malicious Smarty expressions into email templates via the messages configuration interface, and when the template is previewed or rendered, functions such as system(), exec(), file_put_contents(), and file_get_contents() can be executed with the privileges of the web process. This allows arbitrary OS command execution, file read/write operations, and RCE on the underlying server.Show less

Wizarr is an advanced user invitation and management system for Jellyfin, Plex, Emby, and other media servers. Prior to 2026.9.1, wizard step Markdown supplied through the editor or imported bundles was evaluated by app/blueprints/wizard/routes.py in the application's non-sandboxed Jinja2 environment with application globals exposed. An authenticated user able to create steps, or an administrator importing an untrusted bundle through POST /settings/wizard/import, could execute arbitrary Python when GET /wizard/{server}/{idx} rendered the stored step; app/jinja_filters.py and app/services/wizard_widgets.py contained additional evaluation sinks. This could execute operating-system commands as the application user, disclose the Flask SECRET_KEY, access connected service credentials and the database, and produce stored cross-site scripting. Craft CMS 5.10.13.2 contains an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the Control Panel action app/render-components. Any authenticated user with basic Control Panel access can submit request-controlled component classes and property overrides. By first overriding an EntryType object’s uiLabelFormat and then rendering an Entry that resolves the same request-cached entry type, an attacker can cause arbitrary Twig supplied in the request to be evaluated by renderObjectTemplate(). This render path is not sandboxed. A Twig string callable can therefore reach PHP functions such as system(), resulting in operating-system command execution with the privileges of the PHP/web-server process. The issue was reproduced with an active non-admin Craft Team user with no optional permissions enabled. No access to entry-editing, Settings, utility, user-management, project-config, filesystem, Kubernetes, or environment variables was required.Show less

fsspec is a specification and Python implementation framework for filesystem interfaces. From 0.9.0 until 2026.6.0, fsspec.implementations.reference.ReferenceFileSystem evaluates fields from Kerchunk reference JSON documents through unrestricted jinja2.Template(...).render(...) calls in _process_references1._render_jinja, _process_templates, and _process_gen in fsspec/implementations/reference.py. A document supplied inline or fetched from an attacker-controlled URL can provide template expressions that execute Python code when the reference filesystem is opened, including through consumers such as xarray, before referenced data is read. The _process_gen path is reached whenever a document includes a gen array, while the other paths depend on template-related options and values. This issue is fixed in version 2026.6.0.Show less
