The terminal emulator of Apache Guacamole 1.5.5 and older does not properly validate console codes received from servers via text-based protocols like SSH. If a malicious user has access to a text-based connection, a specially-crafted sequence of console codes could allow arbitrary code to be executed with the privileges of the running guacd process. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.6.0, which fixes this issue.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: atlantic: fix aq_vec index out of range error The final update statement of the for loop exceeds the array range, the dereference of self->aq_vec[i] is not checked and then leads to the index out of range error. Fiber is an Express-inspired web framework written in Go. Starting in version 2.52.6 and prior to version 2.52.7, `fiber.Ctx.BodyParser` can map flat data to nested slices using `key[idx]value` syntax, but when idx is negative, it causes a panic instead of returning an error stating it cannot process the data. Since this data is user-provided, this could lead to denial of service for anyone relying on this `fiber.Ctx.BodyParser` functionality. Version 2.52.7 fixes the issue.Show less

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: sch_sfq: move the limit validation It is not sufficient to directly validate the limit on the data that the user passes as it can be updated based on how the other parameters are changed. Move the check at the end of the configuration update process to also catch scenarios where the limit is indirectly updated, for example with the following configurations: tc qdisc add dev dummy0 handle 1: root sfq limit 2 flows 1 depth 1 tc qdisc add dev dummy0 handle 1: root sfq limit 2 flows 1 divisor 1 This fixes the following syzkaller reported crash: ------------[ cut here ]------------ UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in net/sched/sch_sfq.c:203:6 index 65535 is out of range for type 'struct sfq_head[128]' CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 3037 Comm: syz.2.16 Not tainted 6.14.0-rc2-syzkaller #0 Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Google 12/27/2024 Call Trace: <TASK> __dump_stack lib/dump_stack.c:94 [inline] dump_stack_lvl+0x201/0x300 lib/dump_stack.c:120 ubsan_epilogue lib/ubsan.c:231 [inline] __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds+0xf5/0x120 lib/ubsan.c:429 sfq_link net/sched/sch_sfq.c:203 [inline] sfq_dec+0x53c/0x610 net/sched/sch_sfq.c:231 sfq_dequeue+0x34e/0x8c0 net/sched/sch_sfq.c:493 sfq_reset+0x17/0x60 net/sched/sch_sfq.c:518 qdisc_reset+0x12e/0x600 net/sched/sch_generic.c:1035 tbf_reset+0x41/0x110 net/sched/sch_tbf.c:339 qdisc_reset+0x12e/0x600 net/sched/sch_generic.c:1035 dev_reset_queue+0x100/0x1b0 net/sched/sch_generic.c:1311 netdev_for_each_tx_queue include/linux/netdevice.h:2590 [inline] dev_deactivate_many+0x7e5/0xe70 net/sched/sch_generic.c:1375Show less

The check prevents this issue. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/microcode/AMD: Fix out-of-bounds on systems with CPU-less NUMA nodes Currently, load_microcode_amd() iterates over all NUMA nodes, retrieves their CPU masks and unconditionally accesses per-CPU data for the first CPU of each mask. According to Documentation/admin-guide/mm/numaperf.rst: "Some memory may share the same node as a CPU, and others are provided as memory only nodes." Therefore, some node CPU masks may be empty and wouldn't have a "first CPU". On a machine with far memory (and therefore CPU-less NUMA nodes): - cpumask_of_node(nid) is 0 - cpumask_first(0) is CONFIG_NR_CPUS - cpu_data(CONFIG_NR_CPUS) accesses the cpu_info per-CPU array at an index that is 1 out of bounds This does not have any security implications since flashing microcode is a privileged operation but I believe this has reliability implications by potentially corrupting memory while flashing a microcode update. When booting with CONFIG_UBSAN_BOUNDS=y on an AMD machine that flashes a microcode update. I get the following splat: UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in arch/x86/kernel/cpu/microcode/amd.c:X:Y index 512 is out of range for type 'unsigned long[512]' [...] Call Trace: dump_stack __ubsan_handle_out_of_bounds load_microcode_amd request_microcode_amd reload_store kernfs_fop_write_iter vfs_write ksys_write do_syscall_64 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe Change the loop to go over only NUMA nodes which have CPUs before determining whether the first CPU on the respective node needs microcode update.
