An attacker can craft a malicious ISO image that causes reads past the end of the SUSP data buffer, and a zero-length SUSP entry can trigger an infinite parsing loop.Show less |

Prior to 6.0.5 and 5.8.7, an out-of-bounds read in the auth module of Kamailio (formerly OpenSER and SER) allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process crash) via a specially crafted SIP packet if a successful user authentication without a database backend is followed by additional user identity checks. systems with AVX-512 and VAES support can trigger an out-of-bounds read
of up to 15 bytes when processing partial cipher blocks.
Impact summary: This out-of-bounds read may trigger a crash which leads to
Denial of Service for an application if the input buffer ends at a memory
page boundary and the following page is unmapped. There is no information
disclosure as the over-read bytes are not written to output.
The vulnerable code path is only reached when processing partial blocks
(when a previous call left an incomplete block and the current call provides
fewer bytes than needed to complete it). Additionally, the input buffer
must be positioned at a page boundary with the following page unmapped.
CFB mode is not used in TLS/DTLS protocols, which use CBC, GCM, CCM, or
ChaCha20-Poly1305 instead. For these reasons the issue was assessed as
Low severity according to our Security Policy.
Only x86-64 systems with AVX-512 and VAES instruction support are affected.
Other architectures and systems without VAES support use different code
paths that are not affected.
OpenSSL FIPS module in 3.6 version is affected by this issue.Show less |

In do_layer_surface() in src/IMG_xcf.c, pixel index values from decoded XCF tile data are used directly as colormap indices without validating them against the colormap size (cm_num). A crafted .xcf file with a small colormap and out-of-range pixel indices causes heap out-of-bounds reads of up to 762 bytes past the colormap allocation. Both IMAGE_INDEXED code paths are affected (bpp=1 and bpp=2). The leaked heap bytes are written into the output surface pixel data, making them potentially observable in the rendered image. This vulnerability is fixed with commit 996bf12888925932daace576e09c3053410896f8.Show less |

From 1.3.1.1 to before 2.2.7.4, a signed length truncation bug causes an out-of-bounds read in the default Markdown parse path. From 3.1.0 to before 3.2.7, 3.3.9, and 3.4.9, internal_exr_undo_piz() advances the working wavelet pointer with signed 32-bit arithmetic. Because nx, ny, and wcount are int, a crafted EXR file can make this product overflow and wrap. The next channel then decodes from an incorrect address. The wavelet decode path operates in place, so this yields both out-of-bounds reads and out-of-bounds writes. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.2.7, 3.3.9, and 3.4.9.Show less |

This heap-based out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists within the AVI (Audio Video Interleave) parser, specifically in the avi_parse_input_file() function. A local attacker could exploit this by tricking a user into opening a specially crafted AVI file containing a truncated header sub-chunk. This could lead to a denial-of-service (application crash) or potentially leak sensitive information from the heap.Show less |

media: dvb-net: fix OOB access in ULE extension header tables
The ule_mandatory_ext_handlers[] and ule_optional_ext_handlers[] tables
in handle_one_ule_extension() are declared with 255 elements (valid
indices 0-254), but the index htype is derived from network-controlled
data as (ule_sndu_type & 0x00FF), giving a range of 0-255. When
htype equals 255, an out-of-bounds read occurs on the function pointer
table, and the OOB value may be called as a function pointer.
Add a bounds check on htype against the array size before either table
is accessed. Out-of-range values now cause the SNDU to be discarded.Show less |

Prior to versions 38.8.6, 39.8.1, 40.8.1, and 41.0.0, on macOS and Linux, apps that call app.requestSingleInstanceLock() were vulnerable to an out-of-bounds heap read when parsing a crafted second-instance message. Leaked memory could be delivered to the app's second-instance event handler. This issue is limited to processes running as the same user as the Electron app. Apps that do not call app.requestSingleInstanceLock() are not affected. Windows is not affected by this issue.
