Description

The "Smart related articles" extension 1.1 for Joomla! has SQL injection in dialog.php (attacker must use search_cats variable in POST method to exploit this vulnerability).

The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.
