A flaw was found in GIMP. An integer overflow vulnerability exists when processing ICO image files, specifically in the `ico_read_info` and `ico_read_icon` functions. This issue arises because a size calculation for image buffers can wrap around due to a 32-bit integer evaluation, allowing oversized image headers to bypass security checks. A remote attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted ICO file, leading to a buffer overflow and memory corruption, which may result in an application level denial of service.Show less

A flaw was found in GIMP's PSP (Paint Shop Pro) file parser. A remote attacker could exploit an integer overflow vulnerability in the read_creator_block() function by providing a specially crafted PSP image file. This vulnerability occurs when a 32-bit length value from the file is used for memory allocation without proper validation, leading to a heap overflow and an out-of-bounds write. Successful exploitation could result in an application level denial of service.Show less

A flaw was found in the libsoup HTTP library that can cause proxy authentication credentials to be sent to unintended destinations. When handling HTTP redirects, libsoup removes the Authorization header but does not remove the Proxy-Authorization header if the request is redirected to a different host. As a result, sensitive proxy credentials may be leaked to third-party servers. Applications using libsoup for HTTP communication may unintentionally expose proxy authentication data.Show less

A flaw was found in libsoup. An attacker who can control the input for the Content-Disposition header can inject CRLF (Carriage Return Line Feed) sequences into the header value. These sequences are then interpreted verbatim when the HTTP request or response is constructed, allowing arbitrary HTTP headers to be injected. This vulnerability can lead to HTTP header injection or HTTP response splitting without requiring authentication or user interaction.Show less

A flaw was found in libsoup, an HTTP client library. This vulnerability, known as CRLF (Carriage Return Line Feed) Injection, occurs when an HTTP proxy is configured and the library improperly handles URL-decoded input used to create the Host header. A remote attacker can exploit this by providing a specially crafted URL containing CRLF sequences, allowing them to inject additional HTTP headers or complete HTTP request bodies. This can lead to unintended or unauthorized HTTP requests being forwarded by the proxy, potentially impacting downstream services.Show less

A vulnerability was found in the network packet de-fragmentation engine of kronosnet (Version affected <= 1.34). The internal reassembly code does not properly validate sequence numbers of incoming payload fragments. An attacker can exploit this lack of verification by transmitting malformed packets with corrupted sequence parameters. Under specific conditions, this forces the packet processing layer to parse data outside the designated bounds of the internal memory structures, causing an out-of-bounds memory access or heap corruption. This behavior can result in sudden application crashes or system instability.Show less

A flaw was found in samba's pam_winbind. When mkhomedir is enabled, pam_winbind chowns the target account's home directory without validating the path is not a critical system directory such as /. On affected systems, accounts with / as their home directory (a common default for system accounts) can have this triggered not only by root, but by a non-root user holding a narrow sudo delegation to run commands as that account, causing ownership of / to change and resulting in severe denial of service (SSH, sudo, and package-manager failures). The change does not grant write access to / (which ships with restrictive 0555 permissions on RHEL), so the impact is availability loss rather than further privilege escalation.Show less

An out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in libsoup's multipart processing subsystem. The flaw exists in the soup_multipart_input_stream_read_headers() function inside soup-multipart-input-stream.c, which does not adequately restrict or validate the size of incoming multipart boundary strings. When processing a crafted HTTP response containing a malformed or oversized boundary parameter, the internal stream reader reads past the allocated buffer bounds. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this behavior to cause a service denial (DoS) through application failure or potentially read fragments of unauthorized memory metadata.Show less

A vulnerability was found in libsoup's WebSocket frame parsing implementation. The library fails to validate length rules specified in RFC 6455 §5.5, which mandates that all WebSocket control frames (e.g., PING, PONG, CLOSE) contain a payload of 125 bytes or less. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a non-compliant, oversized control frame. Because the parser handles this protocol violation improperly instead of throwing an immediate connection termination error, it triggers a internal processing crash, resulting in a remote denial of service (DoS) for applications utilizing libsoup WebSockets.Show less

A flaw was found in libsoup's WebSocket implementation when using the permessage-deflate extension. The extension's decompression loop (inflate()) processes data in chunks without enforcing an upper boundary limit on the output buffer size. While libsoup limits the incoming compressed frame size via max_incoming_payload_size, it fails to track or limit memory allocation during decompression. A separate check for decompressed size (max_total_message_size) exists but executes only after inflation is complete, and it is entirely disabled by default for client connections. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a small, highly compressed payload (a decompression bomb), causing unbounded memory allocation that triggers an Out-of-Memory (OOM) crash and a Denial of Service (DoS).Show less

A heap-buffer-overflow flaw was found in 389 Directory Server (389-ds-base). When normalizing a Distinguished Name (DN) that contains a legacy-quoted value encoding a multivalued nested Relative Distinguished Name (RDN), the server can write past the end of a heap allocation while sorting RDN attribute-value pairs. An unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger this condition by sending an LDAP operation whose DN reaches the DN normalization routine, such as a search with a crafted base DN. This can corrupt heap memory and may cause denial of service.Show less

A Blind SQL Injection vulnerability in Futurum Software’s management software, caused by a lack of adequate validation and sanitisation of user-provided inputs in queries to the private area’s database, as well as by an incorrect WAF configuration. This weakness allows the protection mechanisms to be bypassed solely by sending manipulated HTTP requests. Successful exploitation of the vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary queries against the database, extract its complete structure and gain access to sensitive customer information, including personally identifiable information (PII).Show less

A path traversal flaw was found in SSSD's AD GPO provider. The ad_gpo_extract_smb_components() function does not sanitize .. sequences in the gPCFileSysPath LDAP attribute, allowing an attacker with AD GPO management access to write files outside the GPO cache directory as root. A flaw was found in the ChunkReader component of the Undertow HTTP server, which is used by WildFly and JBoss EAP to handle chunked transfer encoding. The issue occurs because the parser uses a single internal variable to store both the remaining chunk size and state flags. By sending a specially crafted request with an extremely large chunk size, an attacker can cause these values to overlap, tricking the parser into thinking a request has finished prematurely. This can allow a second, "smuggled" request to be processed out of sync, potentially bypassing security controls.Show less

A flaw was found in GStreamer's gst-plugins-bad package. When processing a specially crafted H.264 video file containing malformed MVC or SVC extension slice NAL units, a 1-byte heap out-of-bounds read can occur during parsing. This happens when the parser attempts to check slice boundary information without first verifying that the NAL unit contains enough data beyond the extension header. An attacker could exploit this by tricking a user into opening a malicious H.264 video file, potentially causing the application to crash or leak a single byte of heap memory.Show less

A flaw was found in the GStreamer gst-plugins-bad package. When processing a malformed H.266/VVC video stream with a crafted aspect ratio indicator value, the H.266 parser performs an out-of-bounds read of up to 8 bytes from adjacent memory. This flaw allows an attacker to craft a malicious H.266 video file or stream that, when processed by a GStreamer-based application, could leak limited memory contents through video metadata, potentially exposing sensitive information from the application's address space.Show less
