Moleculer is a progressive microservices framework for Node.js. Prior to 0.14.36 and 0.15.2, Parser._write in src/transporters/tcp/parser.js used Buffer.prototype.readInt32BE to read a signed packet length, so a remote unauthenticated peer could supply a negative value that caused packet.slice(length) to return the unchanged buffer while the while (packet.length > 0) loop continued indefinitely. The synchronous loop blocked the Node.js event loop and made every service in the process unresponsive until restart. The TCP transporter must be enabled and reachable, and neither CRC validation nor maxPacketSize prevents the malformed length value. This issue is fixed in versions 0.14.36 and 0.15.2.Show less

ezBookkeeping is an open source, self-hosted personal finance application. From 0.10.0 until 1.6.0, ezBookkeeping constructs its Gin router with gin.New() without configuring SetTrustedProxies, causing c.ClientIP() to trust a spoofed X-Forwarded-For value. An unauthenticated remote attacker can supply an allowlisted address to bypass the mcp_allowed_remote_ips or api_token_allowed_remote_ips gate. A valid MCP or API token remains required for protected actions. When such actions occur, the same spoofed value is stored in Transaction.CreatedIp and the request log, attributing activity to the trusted host instead of the attacker. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.0.Show less

Code Graph RAG is an AI-powered knowledge graph and retrieval system for querying, understanding, and editing multi-language codebases. Prior to 0.0.345, the MCPToolsRegistry.read_file implementation in codebase_rag/mcp/tools.py joins attacker-controlled file_path input to project_root without resolving and verifying containment when offset or limit selects the paginated branch. An absolute path causes pathlib to discard the configured root, while relative traversal can also resolve outside it. The protected non-paginated branch uses validate_project_path, but the paginated branch bypasses that validation before opening the path. An unauthenticated caller of a network-exposed HTTP MCP server can therefore read arbitrary UTF-8-readable files available to the server process, including credentials, environment data, private keys, source, and configuration; local callers through the stdio transport can reach the same vulnerable code path. This issue is fixed in version 0.0.345.Show less

OmniAuth is a flexible authentication system utilizing Rack middleware. Prior to 2.2.0, OmniAuth derives provider callback URLs from request-controlled host information when neither a fixed full_host nor framework-level incoming host validation is configured. A remote unauthenticated client can supply a forged Host header, creating a host header injection risk in applications whose web framework does not verify incoming host headers. Applications using appropriately configured Rails host authorization or a fixed full_host are not affected by this path. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.0.Show less

Readest is a modern, feature-rich ebook reader designed for seamless cross-platform access and an intuitive reading experience. In affected desktop Tauri builds prior to 0.11.10, the apps/readest-app/src-tauri/src/transfer_file.rs commands download_file and upload_file accepted a webview-controlled file_path and passed it to File::create or File::open without checking the Tauri filesystem scope, rejecting absolute paths, or blocking parent-directory traversal. The commands were registered in the global invoke handler for the main, updater, and reader-* windows, so JavaScript executing in the privileged application origin could write attacker-controlled content to any path writable by the process or read and send any path readable by the process. Exploitation requires JavaScript execution in that privileged origin, such as through an application XSS or compromised renderer; whether book-embedded JavaScript can reach the parent origin was not established. The write primitive can overwrite trusted or startup files, while the read primitive can expose keys, tokens, and application secrets. This issue is fixed in version 0.11.10.Show less

Readest is a modern, feature-rich ebook reader designed for seamless cross-platform access and an intuitive reading experience. Prior to 0.11.10, the unauthenticated /api/opds/proxy route in apps/readest-app/src/app/api/opds/proxy/route.ts accepted an attacker-controlled URL and fetched it server-side without restricting the scheme, blocking private, loopback, link-local, or metadata hosts, or revalidating destinations during automatic redirect following. The route also accepted caller-controlled outbound headers and Authorization values and reflected the upstream status and response body. A remote attacker could use the service as an open request proxy and, on Node, Docker, or other self-hosted deployments with internal-network access, retrieve cloud metadata or internal-service responses. Cloudflare Workers deployments restrict access to link-local and private destinations, which reduces the internal-network impact there, but the unauthenticated public fetch-and-reflect behavior remains. This issue is fixed in version 0.11.10.Show less

Readest is a modern, feature-rich ebook reader designed for seamless cross-platform access and an intuitive reading experience. Prior to 0.11.10, the apps/readest-app/src/pages/api/storage/upload.ts route constructed an object key from the authenticated user's identifier and a client-controlled fileName without rejecting path separators or parent-directory traversal. In the R2 backend, apps/readest-app/src/utils/r2.ts placed that key into a new Request URL before signing it, and URL normalization collapsed parent-directory components so the resulting presigned PUT could escape the caller's namespace. An authenticated attacker who knew a target user identifier and book hash could overwrite or poison that user's stored book object and corrupt the associated file_key metadata; the exact cross-tenant escape was verified for the R2 backend. This issue is fixed in version 0.11.10.Show less

Prior to commit 4212ce114506a073505fd389db16ad2ba4e582a0, a client could send an incomplete CONNECT-UDP Capsule with an excessively large declared length, causing H2O to keep buffering received bytes without a per-Capsule limit while waiting for the remainder. Deployments that enabled proxy.connect-udp and accepted CONNECT-UDP requests could exhaust server memory and lose availability. A flaw was found in Libsoup. The server-side digest authentication implementation in the SoupAuthDomainDigest class does not properly track issued nonces or enforce the required incrementing nonce-count (nc) attribute. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to capture a single valid authentication header and replay it repeatedly. Consequently, the attacker can bypass authentication and gain unauthorized access to protected resources, impersonating the legitimate user.Show less

A flaw was found in evolution-data-server. Inconsistent comparison logic in the addressbook file backend allows a Flatpak application with D-Bus access to craft a malicious URI containing directory traversal sequences. This URI is stored without proper validation during contact creation or modification. Later, during contact deletion, the URI is processed with a less strict check, leading to the deletion of arbitrary files on the host filesystem. This could potentially include critical Flatpak override files.Show less

A flaw was found in the udisks storage management daemon that allows unprivileged users to back up LUKS encryption headers without authorization. The issue occurs because a privileged D-Bus method responsible for exporting encryption metadata does not perform a policy check. An incomplete fix for CVE-2024-47778 allows an out-of-bounds read in gst_wavparse_adtl_chunk() function. The patch added a size validation check lsize + 8 > size, but it does not account for the GST_ROUND_UP_2(lsize) used in the actual offset calculation. A flaw was found in SoupServer. This HTTP request smuggling vulnerability occurs because SoupServer improperly handles requests that combine Transfer-Encoding: chunked and Connection: keep-alive headers. A remote, unauthenticated client can exploit this by sending specially crafted requests, causing SoupServer to fail to close the connection as required by RFC 9112. This allows the attacker to smuggle additional requests over the persistent connection, leading to unintended request processing and potential denial-of-service (DoS) conditions.Show less

A flaw was found in Undertow, an HTTP server, within its HTTP response header writing path. The `writeString()` method performs a silent narrowing cast from 16-bit Unicode characters to 8-bit bytes when writing HTTP response header values. A remote attacker can exploit this by supplying specific Unicode characters in user-controlled input that an application places into response headers. This can lead to the truncation of these characters into ASCII control characters or special symbols, potentially resulting in limited integrity impact or information disclosure if the application does not properly sanitize user input.Show less

The 'podman quadlet install --replace' command opens the existing destination file with O_CREATE|O_WRONLY but omits O_TRUNC. When the initial reflink copy attempt fails (common on non-reflink-capable filesystems including many RHEL default XFS configurations), the fallback in ReflinkOrCopy uses io.Copy which performs a non-truncating write. If the original Quadlet is larger than the new Quadlet, the file is not truncated and content from the original is preserved. The command completes with no warning. There is no risk of information leakage as the user already had access to the Quadlet in order to replace it, and in most cases, this would only lead to invalid Quadlet files. However, security-related options from the end of the old Quadlet could be included in the new Quadlet, and if the truncation resulted in a valid Quadlet file, this could result in undesirable behavior. For example, running podman quadlet install --replace to remove a single line from the end of a Quadlet - including security-sensitive content, like AddCapability - will fail, and the option will continue to be used. Further, with Volume Quadlets, this can include additional mounts which can cause content to be unintentionally exposed into containers. If, later, the image is updated then compromised content might be leaked to an attacker. The vulnerable code paths are in pkg/domain/infra/abi/quadlet.go (lines 338-360, O_CREATE|O_WRONLY without O_TRUNC) and vendor/go.podman.io/storage/pkg/fileutils/reflink_linux.go (lines 12-19, non-truncating io.Copy fallback).Show less
