FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.0, FreeRDP clients that negotiate RDPGFX AVC444 with an H.264 decoder backend calculate the intermediate YUV444 allocation size in libfreerdp/codec/h264.c with 32-bit multiplication in avc444_ensure_buffer. A malicious RDP server can supply surface dimensions for which piDstStride multiplied by padDstHeight wraps to a small nonzero value, causing winpr_aligned_recalloc to allocate an undersized buffer before YUV420CombineToYUV444 writes using the actual stride and rectangle dimensions. This can cause a client crash and may permit code execution through attacker-influenced heap corruption. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.0.Show less

django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django. Prior to 5.0.8, render_object_structure in cms/views.py renders cms/toolbar/structure.html for a PageContent object without calling user_can_view_page(). Any staff account can request a restricted page’s structure when CMS_PERMISSION is enabled and the page has view restrictions or CMS_PUBLIC_FOR is set to staff. The response exposes plugin get_short_description() values, including link names, URLs, and text snippets, rather than only the page shape. This issue is fixed in versions 5.0.8.Show less

django CMS is an easy-to-use and developer-friendly enterprise content management system powered by Django. Prior to 5.0.8, the copy_plugins endpoint in cms/admin/placeholderadmin.py authorizes only the destination clipboard. The _copy_plugin_to_clipboard and _copy_placeholder_to_clipboard paths accept source_placeholder_id and source_plugin_id values but use has_copy_plugins_permission and check_source only for the requesting user’s clipboard, without validating the source placeholder. Under CMS_PERMISSION, a staff user with the global add permission for a plugin type can copy plugins from an unauthorized page or placeholder into the user’s clipboard and read secret text, link names, and URLs. libgit2 is a portable C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a linkable library with a solid API, allowing to build Git functionality into your application. Prior to 1.8.6 and 1.9.5, libgit2 performs a fixed-size strncmp in set_data in src/libgit2/transports/smart_pkt.c without first verifying that the smart-protocol pkt-line capability buffer contains 14 bytes. A malicious Git server can make bytes after the pkt-line complete object-format=, causing format_str to advance beyond the pkt-line and the following memchr length calculation to underflow. The resulting heap out-of-bounds walk can crash a client during the first refs-advertisement packet over HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, or the Git protocol. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.6 and 1.9.5.Show less

libgit2 is a portable C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a linkable library with a solid API, allowing to build Git functionality into your application. Prior to 1.8.6 and 1.9.5, the built-in HTTP transport in src/libgit2/transports/http.c follows an offsite initial redirect, and handle_remote_auth and handle_auth pass transport->owner->url instead of transport->server.url to the credential callback when the redirected host returns 401 Unauthorized. A callback that scopes credentials to the original trusted URL can therefore return GIT_CREDENTIAL_USERPASS_PLAINTEXT credentials that libgit2 stores in transport->server.cred and sends as an Authorization header to the redirected host. An attacker who controls a trusted Git host or an open redirect on that host can disclose HTTP Basic credentials, personal access tokens, or equivalent credentials. libgit2 is a portable C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a linkable library with a solid API, allowing to build Git functionality into your application. Prior to 1.8.6 and 1.9.5, git_delta_apply in src/libgit2/delta.c trusts the attacker-controlled res_sz value parsed by hdr_sz from a delta object header and passes that amount to git__malloc before validating delta instructions. Malicious pack data supplied through git_clone, git_fetch, git_remote_fetch, git_indexer_append, or a local attacker-supplied repository can use a very small multi-level OFS_DELTA chain to retain extremely large allocations and exhaust memory. libgit2 is a portable C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a linkable library with a solid API, allowing to build Git functionality into your application. Prior to 1.8.6 and 1.9.5, libgit2 does not reject traversal components in a submodule path loaded from .gitmodules. The affected src/libgit2/submodule.c paths include git_submodule_lookup and git_submodule_add_setup. A crafted repository can specify a path such as ../escape-target, and applications that initialize the submodule can create directories outside the repository working tree. libgit2 is a portable C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a linkable library with a solid API, allowing to build Git functionality into your application. Prior to 1.8.6 and 1.9.5, verify_server_cert in src/libgit2/streams/openssl.c uses an inverted !!memcmp result in the GEN_IPADD branch when comparing an IP-literal host with a certificate IP SubjectAltName. OpenSSL builds reject matching IP addresses and accept mismatched IP addresses, allowing a network attacker with a CA-trusted certificate containing any IP SubjectAltName to intercept libgit2 connections to IP-literal HTTPS URLs. DNS SubjectAltName validation and non-OpenSSL TLS backends are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.6 and 1.9.5.Show less

Snipe-IT is an IT asset/license management system. Prior to 8.6.1, a user with the import permission can use CSV update mode to overwrite the email address of a non-admin user and then request a password reset to take over that account. app/Importer/UserImporter.php applies the canEditAuthFields gate by unsetting username, email, password, and activated on the model, but app/Importer/ItemImporter.php sanitizeItemForUpdating() rebuilds the update array from the raw CSV row in $this->item, restoring the unauthorized values. Snipe-IT is an IT asset/license management system. Prior to 8.6.1, POST /two-factor has no rate limiting, lockout, or attempt counter, allowing an attacker with valid credentials to submit unlimited TOTP guesses against the three accepted codes created by config/google2fa.php window=1. A successful guess creates a fully authenticated session. When two_factor_enabled is 1, POST /account/profile with two_factor_optin=0 can disable two-factor authentication without OTP reverification, while required mode 2 prevents that opt-out. Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.3.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, the non-merged branch of process_files_from_worker() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/master.py trusts a peer-controlled file_path key from files_metadata.json. The destination is joined to WAZUH_PATH without proving that it remains inside the directory selected by cluster_item_key. A cluster peer holding the shared Fernet key can upload a crafted extra-valid archive and overwrite security-sensitive files such as /var/ossec/etc/ossec.conf. Replacing ossec.conf can configure root-executed commands and lead to code execution after a service reload. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3.Show less

From 4.6.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, DB::getFile() and DB::searchFile() in src/syscheckd/src/db/src/file.cpp concatenate a monitored file path into SQLite row filters. On non-Windows systems, FIMDBCreator::encodeString() does not escape the value. A local user who can create a filename in a File Integrity Monitoring directory can inject a UNION SELECT expression when wazuh-syscheckd processes or deletes that path. The confirmed primitive manipulates SELECT result sets consumed by the FIM code; stacked statements and remote code execution were not demonstrated. Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.0.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, cluster.unmerge_info() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/cluster.py constructs paths from peer-controlled merge_type and name values in a merged synchronization archive. process_files_from_worker() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/master.py does not adequately confine the resulting path to the declared cluster item directory. Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.0.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2, WazuhCommon.end_receiving_file() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/common.py allows a cluster-authenticated node to delete files outside WAZUH_PATH. A syn_i_w_m_e request with an unknown task_id reaches the cleanup branch, where an attacker-controlled filename is passed to os.path.join without canonicalization or confinement. Absolute paths and traversal sequences can therefore target files such as ossec.conf, jwt_secret.json, TLS certificates, and ruleset files that are accessible to the Wazuh manager process. Deletion can disable the manager, invalidate API tokens, or disrupt cluster and API connectivity. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2.Show less

The function is reachable before authentication through wazuh-authd on TCP port 1515 when anonymous TLS enrollment is enabled. A version string of at least nine non-null bytes can cause strchr() and strtok() to read beyond ver2 and can make strtok() write a null byte into adjacent stack memory, allowing a remote denial of service. Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.4.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2, api/api/middlewares.py decodes the Basic authentication username before credential validation and passes it to the access logger without neutralizing control characters. api/api/alogging.py interpolates that value into the plain-text API log. An unauthenticated attacker can include carriage returns or line feeds in the username to forge entries, obscure activity, or poison systems that consume the plain-text audit log. Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. For an encrypted agent message on TCP port 1514 that expands to 65,536 bytes, os_zlib_uncompress() writes a terminating null byte beyond the end of the destination buffer. From 3.9.0 until 4.14.5 and 5.0.0-beta2, the Wazuh cluster protocol in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/common.py allows an authenticated cluster node to exhaust memory on the master. The divided-message path also retains flag_divided fragments under unique counters in div_msg_box without a count, aggregate-size, or expiration limit.
