The configuration loader in server/WebApi.cpp builds each root with File::absolutePath("", item, true); because the relative-path argument is empty that helper returns the value without a trailing separator. The handler then accepts a requested path when start_with(file_path, root) holds, so a sibling directory whose name merely begins with the configured root string satisfies the test and is served. The only other guard rejects a path containing two dots, which this requires none of. The equivalent confinement check for the ordinary static file server in src/Http/HttpFileManager.cpp computes its root with a non-empty second argument, which appends the separator before comparing, and so is not affected. The endpoint requires the configured API secret, so this grants no privilege beyond what that secret already implies, but it reads files outside the directory the operator confined it to, and the reference container runs the server as root.Show less |

The enforceAccess middleware in packages/trpc/src/trpc.ts verified membership for the supplied projectId, but nothing verified that the supplied dashboardId belonged to that project, and getReportsByDashboardId in packages/db/src/services/reports.service.ts selects reports by dashboardId alone with no project scoping. An authenticated user could therefore pair a projectId from their own organization, which satisfies the middleware, with a dashboardId belonging to another organization and receive every report in that dashboard. A correctly scoped helper, listReportsCore, already existed in the same service file and resolves the dashboard through getDashboardById(dashboardId, projectId) before returning reports, but the router did not use it.Show less |

The enforceAccess middleware in packages/trpc/src/trpc.ts evaluates membership only when the input carries a projectId or organizationId key, so an input consisting of a reportId alone passed through unchecked, and getReportById in packages/db/src/services/reports.service.ts performs a findUnique on the report id with no project scoping. Any authenticated user could therefore read the full configuration of any saved report on the instance, including the owning projectId, event series, filters, breakdowns and formulas, by supplying its identifier. The adjacent update, delete and duplicate procedures resolve the report first and check getProjectAccess against the report's own projectId, so the omission was specific to this procedure.Show less |

Prior to 21.14.9, PipInstall._uninstall_previous_version() accepts existing seed-package metadata and _uninstall_dist() joins entries from top_level.txt and RECORD to site-packages without checking containment. When a reused destination contains distribution metadata influenced by another account, relative traversal, absolute entries, or linked parents can cause app-data reseeding to delete files outside the environment or the environment root with the invoking user's permissions, provided that user has deletion rights over the named paths. The deletion occurs during environment creation before any later use of the environment. Fresh environments without existing package metadata and creation with --clear do not enter this cleanup path. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.9.Show less |

Prior to 21.14.9, download_wheel() writes package-index downloads directly into the reusable wheel/house cache before selecting a verification target from pip's textual Saved output. With default-index digest comparison enabled, a controlled package index can inject a misleading Saved line through a discarded link's data-requires-python attribute; this forged-line variant also requires knowledge of an absolute path to the genuine bundled wheel. The wrong path can then be hashed, while a digest mismatch leaves the rejected archive in the cache for later selection without verification. A separate rejected-cache-file variant requires control over downloaded data or archive selection but not the forged-line prerequisites. Explicit custom-index exceptions are outside the promised PyPI comparison, and the issue does not independently bypass TLS or establish control of default PyPI. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.9.Show less |
